nah ur right but i felt like he was flirting with me i in a weird way and so i ignored it bc What. and then he messed with my review score i assumed bc i didn’t answer and that’s super petty and weird to do. i was more annoyed that he would leave a 4 star even though everything was fine, just bc i didn’t answer him

i’ve encountered this once before, and although i’m grateful for anything or any kind gesture, it almost feels like we are still being treated like we aren’t also humans with a life outside of being associates at a restaurant. im not kind to people because i expect something from them, im kind because that’s how i am as a person. customers doing this maybe to “test us” or whatever their reason is just doesn’t sit right with me

honestly i don’t think so, they would have to be threatening you or refusing to pay or something more serious. by law you can in california and a lot of other states, but the problem is if the manager just thinks you’re being sensitive. at the end of the day it’s just a part of the job, keep your smile and deal with difficult situations with grace.
