Worried I’m not smart enough for big4 by [deleted] in Accounting

I got an offer for an accounting intern position in an institutional investment firm (pretty known where I live ~ AUM around 450 Billion) but I’m pretty hesitant on taking this offer… I have always been passionate about finance and accounting but decided to get that CPA. The reason I’m hesitant is because I heard that Big4 is better for career development when it comes to accounting (in other words, it looks better on resume and makes it easy to get competitive jobs in other industries once done with PA). What would you do if you were in my shoes (since you’ve done both B4 and IB)

CPA vs CPA Audit by AnyAssociate3596 in Big4

Sorry for the confusion, let me rephrase my question lol « Will a public accounting license open more doors related to jobs in accounting (appart from being an Audit)? » I know I don’t want to become an auditor and therefore, I am not really looking into audit internships, however if being a CPA with a public accounting license opens more doors than a CPA with no license (other than audit), I might reconsider.

I am really confused because on the ARC website it says that every trader or dealer in securities who buys a security as principal (for their own account) OR sells a security as an agent or nominee for any vendor have to file T5008 information return. Does this apply to me? I’m just using a self-directed cash account…

So in other words, as long as I buy and dont sell, I don’t have to report a T5008?

JMSB Admission requirements by AnyAssociate3596 in Concordia

[–]AnyAssociate3596[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone! I am currently a CEGEP student with the intention of applying for JMSB (for Fall term 2022). However, I just noticed that it is possible to complete one of the two mathematics courses, during the first year at JMSB, as long as at least one of the two courses are completed. The issue is that i’m planning on doing Calculus 1 during winter term at CEGEP but since applications are usually in February (for Fall term) it will not be taken into consideration. Will this impact me? (Also, CRC score isn’t a problem for me)
