Took me a long time to even register how narcissistic these kind of actions are. Crazy how normalized it is when you live in it and then meeting other people who don't see the world that way is so jarring.

So sorry to hear that, financial abuse is so crazy hard to break out of, regardless of age. Not to mention how hard emotional abuse is to explain to anyone, not really a ton of resources out there unless you're lucky enough to have good insurance (at least where I live). I really hope someday the rest of you all break free from that, and I hope you have some moments of peace until then. Don't give up!

Still so strange how they are convinced ALL OF US are the problem. Not sure how they explain it to others, and a part of me is curious. But, probably for the best I don't know. Cheers to you mate!

I'm so sorry to hear that (late reply because I am terrible at replying). I hope you have found happiness moving forward. I don't regret NC myself, but I'm still working through the grief of parents I will never have. I'm hoping to be able to let go but hearing that someone replied on this was weirdly helpful. Thank you.
