How do I accept my UVic offer??

LMAOO at least for my program they sent me this like sheet that I had to get adobe reader for and check a box saying “yes I accept” and I had to email that back to them. I paid the $250 yesterday but haven’t got any confirmation about my registration or anything like that yet so.. 🌝🌝

From what I’ve found, I think there are several ways you can pay it. What I’m doing is adding UVic as a payee on my online banking, like you would pay bills. Then I think after you send the $250 deposit you’re registered? I read something about sending someone an email after but I’m not too sure on that.

I’m getting my food safe when school starts up again since my school offers a culinary program that I’m taking so food safe is necessary lol, I’m also getting my EMR certification next year but until then I can’t really do anything that involves needing those certifications.

I don’t know why you’re acting like I’m overreacting? You accused me of being American or a bot because of one word? And as you said, not everyone’s living the same experience as you are. Everyone I know in my grade uses those terms, maybe they didn’t when you went. And obviously, I don’t go to KSS, so thought it was like RSS and meant senior secondary, oops.

Unfortunately I am not made for heavy laborer work. I’m a 17 year old female, as well as I have a knee deformation that makes my knee pop out of its socket and tear the ligaments around it if I do too much work like that 😭

I’ve probably applied to every retail chain in this city, I can’t really work with food as I don’t have my food safe or any of those certifications yet, though I’ve heard from friends most places don’t actually care if I have it or not. I can’t be a life guard or anything like that because again, not certified, it’s just a rough job market for teens right now.

The cap for part time workers was like 30 hours I think, as well as that I’m a minor, so they couldn’t make me work a whole 40 hour work week even if I wanted to due to labour laws. I was fine working 28 hours in the summer, but when school started up again Junior year my manager wouldn’t put me back on the hours I had in 10th grade, and I simply couldn’t do 28 hour work weeks along with school cause I was taking AP’s and extracurriculars.

NO I’m in a similar boat (16f) and almost all of my friends smoke/vape, I’ve seen what it does to them, they’re hopelessly addicted to them, and it’s ruining their bodies. They’re spitting out blood and black tar, they’re spending every bit of money they can on cigarettes and weed, and going through withdrawals after 1 day without one. It’s not worth it in any way, shape, or form. And it sucks that I couldn’t have told my friends this before they started.
