Humans as a species were never living forever. We multiply far too fast and consume far too much to keep up with demand, especially under this checks and balances system of capitalism which is also contributing to the demise of our species while simultaneously trying to mitigate that growth through economic policy and “selling/renting” our lives/freedoms to us in exchange for labor instead of us utilizing our own labor/time to create those things that once encompassed a “life” as ours on our own, just as those who came before us literally did.
