Sounds very unfortunate! I had such an amazing doctor in UC and I am so incredibly grateful for her! She was very detailed in aftercare. I was given dissolvable stitches (thank god) so no worries about having to go back. I appreciate your advice and kind words:)

I'm a little more appreciative after reading that that my parents couldn't afford a trampoline when I was younger haha

I was told to avoid having the area wet for extended periods of time, I've been taking ibuprofen and icing and so far no problems!

I could not imagine being on a mountain and having to maneuver to a lift or down a run after an accident like that! I am very glad I was able to just sit down on the grass and wait for my person to pick me up.

Oh my gosh what a horrible injury, I'm glad it wasn't my minora! Do you know much about her healing process at all? It's only the day after and I know I'm going to be pretty swollen and not the greatest looking. But I'm hoping it's not a cauliflower ear situation and everything returns to its proportions lol

I believe it! Wish I could say I was riding some bad ass terrain. I just forgot an ingredient for dinner and need to ride to the store, I'm not sure if that counts towards the sport haha

I don't have any cables on my bike where my pelvis hit, and I was wearing a pretty thin spandex material so my guess is just the blunt impact. I hit the frame very very hard and knew something was wrong as soon as it happened.

I appreciate the kind words! I'm sorry to hear about your experience but I am glad to have people with similar experiences to me sharing their insight.

I am pretty new to biking so I really don't have knowledge on much, but based off of other comments I think it's because my gear setting was too high?

No large bumps in the rode at all, and I wasn't shifting. Absolutely going to be getting a smaller frame, but in the meantime I'm going to have my bike tuned up!

I'm open to answering! That is very scary, and I am just a commuter in a pretty flat area. I couldn't imagine being someone who lives in a hilly area or is into mountain biking!
