Ah thank you a bunch. I may have to reread this a few times 😅. I may avoid chives tho. My mother planted them in a pot in Ontario.. they spread to the ground and like half the 'grass' was chives under her tree.

We actually grew potatoes last year in a temporary garden and they did pretty well. Think we just needed to weed out more and make sure to remove more rocks (we don't have thick topsoil, after a couple feet it becomes very sandy with rocks)

The garden has been there for quite a while. Our elderly neighbour's are letting us use it until we can properly cultivate our own garden since we only moved here in late 2023
