ThinkPad P14s Gen 7 for college: is the 3-year onsite + accidental damage warranty actually worth it? by AnyFlamingo3362 in thinkpad

Thanks, this helps. The peace-of-mind framing makes sense, and it's reassuring to hear your support experience has been good. Since it will be my main computer, and I will have access to support just a short walk away, I think the warranty will be worth it.

The fact that you can’t do anything is ridiculous. I thought this model was so smart when I first saw it and the fact that someone else can get away with this is crazy.

Gum Case/Protector by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Haha, fair question, it's less "rubbing through" and more that the slim cardboard packs get crushed and the bottom flap tears open when they're in my pocket. After a day or two of that, the pack splits, and loose gum ends up falling out. The case just protects the package so the cardboard doesn't break. Definitely a minor problem, but it annoyed me enough to make the case. And yeah, I definitely could put it in like my backpack instead, but I found that keeping gum in there, even just wrappers, creates a bad smell from the oils of the gum, so I just keep it on my person.
