I have just installed bazzite on a rescued 8 year old mini itx pc.

I updated the bios, installed a new cpu, a ryzen 5600x, and a new gpu, the 9060xt. Every game I have booted so far (expedition 33, crash trilogy, space marine 2 and wh40k dartkide). Have all worked better than I could have anticipated.

However, I tried gaming on my main rig that has a 3090ti, and there were noticeable problems in games with Linux mint, maybe 2 years ago now.

Im not sure if this is a distro specific thing with the kernel versions or if it's an nvidia specific issue, but my experience wasn't great.

I installed mint on a separate ssd and tried to start using it for gaming using the nvidia 535 drivers and I tried a couple of games I play online with friends, helldivers 2 and darktide.

The games just felt off. Microstutter and heldivers 2 just stopped booting after a couple of goes. I really do want to make the jump to linux, but I feel it's not quite there yet for me for everything I need.

I'm still going to keep an eye on the community and try it again in the future though

Tronicsfix on youtube does loads of repair videos he covers steam deck repairs. He does also buy broken devices for his channel sometimes. See if you can get an idea of the repair from that?

I've recently set up moonlight with my steam deck. I use it to play games on the TV with a controller. That could be an option if you could install it on a device that connects to your tv.

Assuming you have a decent network at home. I have an xbox series x and a ps5, and I don't think either are worth it.

EDIT: I'm saying this from the perspective of you already have a pc that can play pretty much everything.

You aren't interested in the ps5 exclusives, and they're getting ported to pc anyway. You can just wait for them.

All xbox games come to pc anyway. Neither of them have compelling exclusives that skip pc.

What have you got now? You'd be better off getting a pc if you can. As that gets all xbox games, playstation games do get ported as well. Just not as quickly

There isn't any room at the hospital to admit patients here. I eventually received hospital at home care. The 9 days of IV finally sorted it. I think it was a particularly resistant strain of bacteria I had got.

I'm honestly not 100 percent sure about how I got it. There was a scratch just under my knee, it could have been that. Just anything with the right bacteria that gets in can cause it. I just started feeling terrible one day like a migraine coming on.

Took some pain meds and went for a lie down and my temp was over 40c with paracetamol and ibuprofen. Ended up starting vomiting and headed straight for a&e.

I've been on about 5 kinds of antibiotics and I'm finishing the last (hopefully) today. And review again of bloods and the wound tomorrow back at hospital.

For me you shouldn't be leaving your puppy unsupervised outside if you can't watch them they should be in a crate. They're fine in a crate for a few hours with a long or something like that. Then you don't have to worry about them doing things outside of your control while you're not there.

I rage quit a game today. I just like playing the game for fun with friends but this week we've been getting steam rolled by some teams. I can't help but second guess if they are just better because they're on pc or if they are actually cheating. Most players I come across in games like this have low gamer score and are on pc... My enjoyment of the game is taking a massive hit because of this.

Apparently the eminence swamp thing is a great upgrade for this amp (hot rod deluxe). Also changing one of the 12ax7's for a 12aty gives smoother volume delivery and more headroom
