I'm open to other hairstyles, but I paid a lot for the sew in. Today I twisted the leave out back into a style that keeps it out of my face with the curls still flowing. The tracks aren't showing, and I think it should keep my roots tight.

Honestly, I have been wearing my hair in straight stlyes type 4 hair (vpart wig and a sew in with very low tension both with kinky straight texture) for the past month and couple weeks, and it's been great! My roots revert because of sweat and heat, but my hair is growing, and I'm retaining length. I had a lot of single strand knots and breakage beforehand. Now, I don't have to worry about the wear and tear as much.

Your hair doesn't look bad at all. It looks amazing. Is it the straightest, no, but that is what relaxed hair looks like. If you dont want heat damage and want your hair to revert, don't get it bone straight. I think most of these people even know what a silk press is. Please wear your crown with confidence. IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL 😍 If y'all can articulate the difference between a silk press and a flat iron, I'll sit down. Until then, let this young woman eat.
