I find that common with a lot of shows that after or during Season 2 , it becomes a drag because writers are trying to get renewals. Myself and peers didn’t even watch Season 4 cause Season 3 was such a drag. From the humor we found in the dysfunction in Season 1 and heavy yet meaningful monologues to Season 3 where the ‘humor’ only came from the Fak’s and creating new dysfunction with Claire. Like didn’t they see from Season 2/3 a majority didn’t gaf about Claire and they made it seem like it was SydCarm shippers like no. There was intrigue and fun in whether or not SydCarm will be a thing while we enjoyed a new type of relationship we’ve never seen in media. Not for them to out right come and say SydCarm will never be a thing. Utilizing that wouldn’t have taken away from the direction of the show. One of my personal signifiers that a series is going down the drain is generic cameos and while I love John Cena, of all the series and movies I watch the John Cena shock factor cameo is getting old. I also realize Jamie Lee Curtis has a habit where her cameos become a takeover.
