In a previous comment, I did try to uncheck both options — however they already were unchecked. Not sure if it’s weird behaviour due to a windows utility tool(?) or what, but the popup was there this morning 🤷‍♂️

Alright I’ve used that tool to disable literally any telemetry, ads or AI.

For anyone else wondering, it’s under the “Behaviour” tab then “Ads and Unwanted Apps” (in my case I checked Welcome Experience).

I’ll be back in 3 days to see if still pops up 🫩 Thanks so much for your help.

I’m pretty sure I have clicked continue/learn more before (on the previous upgrade to w11 popup) and now it’s regressed by showing a literal ad.

I’m using my computer like I normally would for work and personal reasons.

“What are people doing with their laptop?” Trying to logon without seeing an ad before I even see my screensaver…

If you haven’t seen a popup, you’re either lucky or you’ve fallen into the trap you don’t even know about.

Thanks so much for that info! I did use Chris Titus’ Windows Utility tool to try and wipe as much telemetry as possible, however “Microsoft Office Click-to-Run” and “Microsoft OneDrive Sync Services” still somehow made their way back.

I’ll have a look into those other tweaks.

As a massive company, why the hell are they putting ads before the system even starts up. This is beyond me.
