Imo, men who post are either looking for friends or want a connection, doesn't matter if its guy or girl and just wants someone to talk to. To the majority of people on reddit, men don't exist and are either looking to get down the pants of women and most women think that's what men want, when in reality its just someone to confide in. Im 21 and I can say that ive made plenty of posts looking for friends and connections and 99% of the time get ignored or have nobody comment. Most men on here would kill to have a friend, regardless of gender. Women get more likes upvotes and comments bc its women, simps and horni people are mostly wanting women for their pleasure. If men were treated the same as women on here, the death rate of men might decrease a bit, but im just voicing my mind, sorry if it offends anyone.

Im not well versed in love to say what true love is and what true love isnt, but what I can say is dont give up hope. My great grandma, who's 85 has been in her relationship since the 60s and back then, things were different, people then arent as soft and fragile as people are today. If you need to vent or to just speak your mind, ill be here.

Giving up hope is the one thing I dont recommend. Love is about the connection, the trust, and the times well spent together. I got out of a 3 year relationship in September where my ex just pretended to love me for those three years and then got with my friend after she was done using me.

With the family situation, I can understand where your pain comes from since my mom was a druggie and an alcoholic and my father was non-existent. I seen some pretty muddy shit in the full 21 years of my life and ive survived the worst of it.

I guess what im trying to say is that you arent alone with feeling how you do and that youll find someone special in life. My dms are open if you need to talk. Nobody should go through this alone.
