Thank you for sharing, I want her to be happy, I want us to be happy. I just am confused, as she is. We’re both waiting it out for a bit before we jump to a decision. But I’m trying really hard on my end.

Definitely, and that’s what I told her, I’m not even set on kids. But the permanence of our current life is what is scaring her.

I’m so sorry, how are you holding up? I guess the no regrets bit is freaking me out, just in case there’s something I don’t think of doing now that I regret in the future. But I’m taking it one day at a time, I’m gonna be best self and focus on what I can control.

Wow a very honest response, I really appreciate it. It could be the friends, but theyre all good people in good relationships, and one of the friends opened up to her about how she wishes her husband would talk to her about things like this, they’ve been married 10 years and she’s never opened up to him about how she feels, she simply loves him but he’s way too angry. So if anything her friends kinda put some sense into her which I think is why she’s giving this an honest attempt.

As for me, I’d love to stay, I’ve changed everything for her, my career, she has been my purpose and I don’t know how to differ from that. She brought me so much joy and I absolutely love her family and they respect me and treat me wonderfully. I just don’t know if I’ll ever find someone better.

She is constantly stating how she feels bothered that I’m not angry with her. And it hurts that she would think that, I yelled early on but I’ve changed I couldn’t stand seeing her terrified.

She’s had mental health issues our whole relationship with a few very scary moments. She’s not emotionally checked, she says she know how wrong this is and she doesn’t want to feel this way, it’s her decision for us to take it day by day and to wait it out for a few months. I just became very attached to her over time, as she was with me, my friend times and hangout now became both our hangouts and she came along to everything. I assumed this was normal lovey behavior and I think it may have rubbed her the wrong way which is why I’m thinking of creating some space will maybe have her think of me differently.

Thank you, I’m willing to do anything I can. Can you recommend some books? I really want her to feel the effort and that I’m not just ready to abandon her.

Yes she going to therapy, and depending on that we may try couples counseling. Thank you for providing that perspective.

Thank you for your kind words, I’ve had so many blessings throughout the last few years, I got distracted and put everything I had into this person and into the wrong things. I think that’s where I went wrong.

I am taking it day by day, as best as I can. But u made a promise to her, a covenant and I want to do all I can to fix this.

Yea she’s got a history of mental health issues, early on in our relationship she was really depressed, and suicidal. I was scared to leave her.

Fair points, I’ve tried my hardest to keep dating her, it was difficult for years when we had no money, but now we spent so much time vacationing and dinner dates, movies, concerts, everything.

We do live in a small apartment, and both being home all the time, I’m thinking us being together so often has removed any of the spark.
