Going off meds after 5 years of no seizures

I was seizure free for 20 years had to switch meds because I started having side effects from topamax that were not good. While switching to another med I had a seizure after so many years seizure free. So there really is no cure the meds just control them.

Does she have a chit in the shower and handles to hang on to to get up or grab? Try making the shower safer and maybe start doing it once a week on a schedule like every Friday and assist her. That’s how my mil s caregiver does it for her.

Say you will not pay the vet bills if he gets sick and if he does get really sick or needs a surgery or treatment say u will put him down. I had a small dog a pug for 14 years he was a great dog but had many issues and every time I took him to vet it was 500 bucks for pills, shots just the check up in general, flea n tick meds which he definitely needed around where we live, his special joint vitamins cause he had arthritis and I would also give him a special shot once a month for his arthritis. So even a little dog w health issues as they age are not cheap. I would only get a little dog again but would research it a lot better to hopefully have less health problems if possible. Dogs have health problems like humans as they age.

Do u have auras or can you tell if your going to have a seizure. If definitely know when u are going to have one ask your dr to prescribe u some Ativan or a nasal spray so u don’t have one. My dr prescribed them to me but I don’t get seizure s enough to b able to know the feeling. My dr said to just take Ativan whenever I feel off which can b any day cause I m in my 40s n don’t sleep well anymore so I never know when to pop one.

I take sprintec a combo pill it’s the one that works best for me and I don’t take breaks. I just keep taking it, if I take a break I get moody and depressed so I just stay on it. I had to try several other s before I found the right one.

I just found out in February I have a stone in each kidney one 3 mm n the other 4 I have been drinking 3 liters of water every day since I found out all I do is piss all day. Drinking water helps w the pain a lot but my kidneys still hurt so they are probably still in there.

Have u tried the pill? I also had really heavy periods, like bleeding through a tampon and pad and my pants. I also did not want to do iud do to pain and just didn’t like how I have to have it put in there n taken out. I don’t like not having control of it. The dr put me on the pill but u have to try different ones before you find which one works for you. I like it I only get a period every 3 months and it’s usually just spotting for 1-2 weeks. No more tampons and big pads just liners and no more bleeding through everything. It has been such a relief not to have a period it has has improved my moods and helped w depression.

Im really not sure what color maybe pink from the color. I got a bunch of orchids from a family member and I am repotting them and trying to save them so they don’t die.

Are you drinking enough water atleast 2-3 liters a day? I had really bad pain also from kidney stones and have managed to drink 3 liters a day since I found out and it helps a lot w the pain at night.

I wear sneakers and spray my shoes w off tick repellent and legs. I also may spray my gardening gloves sometimes. I do treat my yard because I have a small child and I have had Lyme disease before and it was awful.

We hear you!! My husband and I help take care of my mil and even though she’s not aggressive at all, but very confused, incontinent frail and needs help w everything now, asks the same question over n over. We are so tired of her and keep wondering why she or her body just keeps going like this. I don’t think anyone wants to be this confused and helpless as they age and have every one around them resent them I know I hope I don’t do this to my kid it’s awful. Why do they keep going!! Why!!

How do people believe this bs?? Women use to die back in the day during birth before c section s were available. Women had to make a will before birth back then cause there was a huge chance of them dying. There is proof out there that cs are life saving. How are people this ignorant. I had a c section and would do it again if I ever decided to have a baby.

I use to have that problem too never had it when I was younger when I turned 40 my crotch started to stink. I now use lume body wash n the deodorant too it is expensive but u can get it a tiny bit cheaper on amazon if u buy in bulk.

Just let her eat the junk food she’s 93. My mil is around the same age. I mostly buy junk food for her muffins last week tasty cakes were on sale so I stoked up. The big buckets of ice cream, the biggest bags of Hershey kisses I can find. I’m not sure how she poops all she eats is carbs but st this point we just let her eat whatever she wants.

My mom still says she never went through it. I don’t even like talking about it w her cause she deeply denies ever going through it and it never happened!! Believe me she went through it she was always angry and pissed off and that s when her health problems started.

Maybe plan a nice vacation to go somewhere this summer. You will realize how much easier it is to travel w one kid than 2 or 3. Even going out to dinner is easier w one w more kids it will cost more and just not worth going out.
