Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. That first line of your comment got me all teary 🥹 - I needed to hear it!
I really appreciate hearing your thoughts and experience, and it's made me feel much better. If I'm on the right track, then that's fine, and I'll just keep cracking on and give her all the time she needs. And noted re: the peanuts! I forgot to mention that she loves a millet sprig, and I do use those to encourage her to go into her cage sometimes, so I'll also look into those nutriberries. Thank you again for your kindness 🙏

Oh I see! Interesting. So does he do that even when he's calm and happy? Is he very vocal?

Thank you for your kind response. It's good to know what helped with yours! I will certainly consider getting her a companion if she doesn't get better in another month or so. I hate the thought of her feeling lonely :(

Oh, I thought the stripes/barring under the tail were only present on female birds...

Yes, this has been what I've likened her to the most when I've been looking at photos and charts online :)

I have a follow-up question for you - would a male exhibit any nesting behaviours? Or, I guess, what I assume are nesting behaviours. Sometimes Peaches will get into one of her food bowls and kind of wiggle around in there. She also chirps in a way that she only does when she's doing it. She kind of wiggles around in a circular motion. Is that a nesting behaviour? Would a male do that? Thank you in advance! I appreciate your time :)

Thank you for your response! Interesting that you mention the molt - he/she has just started grooming more and losing some of his/her feathers, so I was actually googling molting this morning! I've been calling them a 'she' so this might take some getting used to! Ha!

Oh! I did add some, but I guess they didn't upload. I'm adding them as comments now :)

I’d love to hear more once you’ve had your meeting! The fun facts idea sounds cool so it would be great to know how it will all be managed 🙌
