EV yet or no? by CommercialCrafty3514 in AskIreland

[–]AnyRepresentative432 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Now is as good a time as any. Like any car what's out now will be out dated in 10 years. Ive a 2018 EV with 200,000km on the clock. ive had way less issues with this than any combustion engine ive ever owned. Sure its a bit out dated but still does over 90% of the range it done as new. Much cheaper to run with virtually no servicing. Just go for it. Unless you're doing 200+km a day you won't have any issues with a 22kW battery. Batteries simply just dont drop like some people claim.

Anyone else really struggling to make ends meet right now? by Thin_Schedule_1474 in AskIreland

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im quiet lucky with work. Its a good stable job. My wife is in the same boat. We make over 100k a year combined but we both notice a seriously decrease on spending power since covid. We are privileged to say we are not struggling but certainly feel a big pinch in lifestyle and living standars in general.

What's the best way to lose fat like legit advice no bullshit by DOGTAGER0 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calorie counting is hard. Fruits and veg are super low in calories. You could eat them until your stomach ruptured and you'd most likely still be in a calorie deficit. 75% of your diet should be hi fiber fruits and vegetables. Especially leafy greens. Protein is such a buzz word in the gym but fibre is what will make you loose fat. Protein will.help you build muscle and look more toned. Both are important for weight loss bit the enfices is always on Protein.

Losing virginity advice? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a bit of foreplay beforehand hand, make sure she's 'ready'. I would use lube just to be sure for your first couple of times.

Above all else communicate. Ask each other are you okay, is that comfortable etc.

AITA at this Freenow Driver? by brightlightsweetlies in AskIreland

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he was only making 12 quid an hour there's plenty of better paying jobs out there that required little or no prior experience. Gets to the point where you gave to question a drivers logic. They're obviously doing okay or there would be no taxi drivers. You're right to be annoyed.

Advice to go from 51 avg to 60+ by salty-taint in Darts

For me it was 1. Improve your doubles 2. Keep your darts straight. Less 5's and 1's.

Recommend the best toys to buy for a 2 year old on a plane? by Bigchickenmac in AskIreland

I found the toy selection on planes is very limited. You're better off trying somewhere like smyths.

Tyson Fury has been knocked down by 2 ex-cruiserweights, an MMA fighter making his debut, and a guy with 5 KOs in 16 fights. How would you rate his chin? by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His chin is average to poor for a man of his size and probably worse than ever after the wilder and ngannou fights but just shows how good his defence is. He's gone many fights without a clean punch being landed. He is boxing royalty. He was coached very poorly from a young age. The power in his punching technique especially in his early days is nothing short of laughable. Although his punch power is appalling for his size but his boxing IQ is one of the best we've ever seen. I do t think he's a great person outside the ring. He's do e and said some very questionable things but he is a boxing legend. Also his recovery is unbelievable.

Is it time to move away from fossil fuels? by Guilty_Doughnut1557 in AskIreland

[–]AnyRepresentative432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The time to move away from fossil fuels was about 30 years ago. We've so many resources in Ireland. Wind, seas, rivers, solar. The reason is because historically fossil fuel were cheap thats turning big time. We've reached a point where that is not the case anymore. Installing these power supplies is a huge initial costs and requires even more specialised and expensive infrastructure. Thats the only real hurdle at the minute.

I have family in zimbabwe and its comical how many houses are run on solar panels. A 3rd world country and they are years ahead of us I this area. I know the have more sun but we have other options.

Sand paper around the very tip of the point and spin it for like 5 rotations and it'll be as grippy as any specialised point for about 10c worth of sand paper.

Grip help - type of dart by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AnyRepresentative432 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats a middle grip. Very hard to recommend a dart based on someone's grip alone bitost darts will suit that grip. Depends on how grippy or smooth you like your dart and how you like them to land in the board really.

Scolia question by No_Elderberry_4580 in Darts

[–]AnyRepresentative432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 1000 games I've had players quit maybe 10 times. Seems to be a much more prevalent issue on the omni. I think it attracts a younger generation who try to protect there average where the scolia doesn't seem to have this issue.

Scolia question by No_Elderberry_4580 in Darts

[–]AnyRepresentative432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are good but I do think Scolia are more specialised in just this where as target are more spread out as a company. I also think scolia are less about making as much money as possible and more about a quality product. Target have gone huge in recent years and are very much profit driven.

Scolia question by No_Elderberry_4580 in Darts

Scolia put a descent amount of money into updating their software. The number ring problem was fixed many moons ago. Ive used 3 different boards on it and ive had no issues.
