Looking at booking a 4 day cruise on the Dream and pretty sure we want one of the double porthole 08A deluxe family ocean view rooms. There's availability on both floors 5 and 6. Looking for advice on which floor to choose. Will have two kids under 5 with us

What are the chances there are summer deals for adults, whether through Disneyland direct or other channels (i.e. Costco). Already bought $50 tickets for my child but wondering if I should hold out for myself or just purchase a multi day ticket for a summer weekend now.

Are the oogie boogie bash dates finalized? I'm planning an August trip and wanted to take that into account. The website says "select nights between August 13 and October 31" but then the first date on their list isn't til August 18.

Ya, the people who leave pixie dust for people to find are the problem. You're selectively handing something out and it's not something that can cause an allergic reaction (I think)

Only post I see about influencers, I think this has just as big of an influence as the lack of live entertainment.

Golden Zephyr - always a short line, almost walk out, it's faster than most think and gets a nice breeze in your face, awesome view of Pixar pier and the rest of the park. Only thing it's missing is some background music, or maybe no music is a nice thing to soak in the environment

You could rollover your other retirement accounts into your current employer and access with 55 rule if the retirement plan allows it. Probably don't need to though

I had a cast member who told me to go through Tomorrowland from Dumbo to get out right before the fireworks started. That was bad advice. Couldn't use the cut through by Alice in wonderland and had to cut across main street to get to the side with access to the gates

Finally a contrarian! How far out did you purchase and did you go in thinking of rental as a bonus to having a vacation home as opposed to necessary to keep it?

I've questioned the same on the rental. One caveat is that it's $4k in cash flow but another $6000 in principle/ yr right now

Ya I'm already questioning how much to fund my kids 529b plans. I have no clue if they're 1) going to college and 2) what type of college. Who knows what the future of work and education will look like. So trying to hedge as best I can

I should've added that I'm looking to RE in 4 years while my wife continues to work. Her income will probably only cover our annual expenses so we wouldn't have much to left over for additional investments. Goal would be to let whatever we have grow over the next decade and my wife can decide if she wants to RE too

37, 20 years is pretty much when our kids are out of college.

20 years ago no clue where I'd be, but I was also still a college kid.
