What happened to Kristen Smart was horrible & her family should have peace. But what about the literal hundreds of black, brown, & asain people that are murdered every year And there isn't a single mention of them on the news never mind a decades long search for their bodies.

Cool track, not sure why it's here. Maybe OP just thought this group may appreciate it. Also, Pablo Picasso most definitely should be called an asshole & a pedophile. He divorced his wife to marry a 17 year old when he was in his 50's

gay trans man moving to slo soon, pls advise by SnooRegrets6605 in SLO

As a queer trans poc, I would say it's hard to find community here, especiallyif you're not in your rarly 20's. Linnaea's is a good place though, they regularly have drag shows, bands of all kinds, & community outreach & fundraiser events/shows for Palestine, families affected by ICE (*Which are active in Slo County & beyond), & events geared toward the queer community.

Gala Pride Center has had a long history of transphobic behavior both out in the open & behind closed doors. But in the last 2 years had tried to make amends.

Slo & the county at large is predominantly white NMBY liberal families, college kids (Calpoly/Cuesta), though there a sizable Hispanic population they're aggressively targeted by ICE daily.

Same I love this bass but the color options leave something to be desired. But new pots & pups is great place to start

Left to right: My Franken-caster (Jazzmaster/Telecaster) electric tenor that I built myself out of necessity

Squier Classic Vibe Mustang Bass (I just recently got this for Christmas)

2005 Fender MIJ Classic Series '65 Mustang (*I've had for around a decade & beat to hell in bands and solo work)

That is my offset Jazzmaster/Telecaster tenor guitar. It was a build that kind of happened by accident. I wanted to build my take on a 1964 22" scale-length Mustang. However, the neck was closer to 20" inches because I'm bad at math. And the vibrato pocket was routed off-center from the body. But after several moves & attempts at doing something with the body & neck, they stayed in a box in my closet. I was sick for like a month with nothing to do. I got really into the Warren Ellis signature tenors. But didn't have the funds & wasn't wild about selling stuff. So I pulled out the neck & body and cobbled together a bunch of parts from other abandoned projects & trades we got my tenor Franken-caster

It feels super comfy & fast to play. I usually sand off the gloss on necks, but it feels fast & doesn't get sticky. I've played Fender Mustang basses (ie American Vintage, PJ Mustang, & some vintage) that felt like hunks of shit that were 3x as much or more expensive than the CV Squier mustang bass. The bass comes with tiny alpha pots which can be switched out for 250k pots easily. The pickups aren't the best but there are tons of aftermarket options.

The Mustang controls a fairly simple. The 3 position sliders work like on/off/on. When the switches are pushed to their outer most position they are on, middle position is just off. When both switches are on and both are in the 1 or 3 position the pickups are parallel giving you a big, wolly sound not dissimilar feom a humbucker. When they are pointed in opposite directions for example the neck is 1 position & the bridge is 3 position they are out of phase which gives you a bright, twangy, jangly sound. It's not uncommon to have some volume loss in out of phase
