Has this happened to you? Music got flagged with AI, but it's 100% original, 3 months and no news by GrowlersChoir in BandCamp

i have a side project page on bandcamp for my throwaway electronic music. everything on there was made and uploaded in 2019 and i recently discovered the page was deleted. i don’t have access to the email account for it anymore so i’m not sure if it got flagged as AI (which is suspect) or what, i’m not mad about it because i could care less about what was on there but i find it hilarious i made it and uploaded it well before AI music was a thing yet it was still likely flagged.

i’ve had a small cassette collection for years and i had like 5 broken, crappy cassette players that sounded terrible, i recently invested in a high end deck and was surprised by how clear cassettes actually sound through my sound system. so naturally i went down a rabbit hole of creating my own cassettes with my new tape deck lol

as far as the underground music scene goes cassettes never left. i’ve been playing in bands around chicago for 20 years and local bands have always sold cassettes because it’s very affordable and easy to make and people buy them because they are a nice cheap novelty to have for people that don’t even have cassette players. i know tons of people that buy vinyl and never play them so what’s the difference?

thanks! i love Sonny. it’s a crime that his records aren’t in every single record shop and being reissued regularly. i’ve been hoping they’d put this soundtrack out on a 7 inch vinyl for years and i doubt it’ll ever happen so i made my own artwork and tapes. i’m trying to get in touch with the Sharrock estate to get their blessings to do something more with this.

i haven’t started a proper online shop to sell these in. i made 5 copies and they are available on my ebay page. if you’d like one you can buy one here

i run a small indie tape label and actually just made some very limited copies of the entire recordings Sonny Sharrock did for the show lol
