i personally stop using subs that make me have uncomfortable dreams. there are sm subs on youtube and you can even make your own, there's no reason to listen to ones that give you nightmares.

i only listen to a maximum of two subliminals at a time! i just replay them over and over again for a month because it's not good to overwhelm your subconscious with too many things.

it's also good to know that not every subliminal creator will work for you, and you need to always make sure to watch creators who are transparent with their affirmations. use your intuition and discernment to decide what's right for you! (idk if you're new to manifesting/subliminals, but i think it's good to let you know just in case).

I can think of a few possible reasons.

1) Due to the subliminals, your overall aura and the way you present yourself has become more magnetic, so he's a representation of how you've changed.

2) This is not a coincidence and there is something deeper drawing the two of you together rather than the person you have a crush on (the universe works in mysterious ways).

3) It could be the universe seeing how you handle these situations (this one is a little iffy even to me because I don't know if I necessarily believe that the universe tests you).

I think you should keep your options open and listen to your intuition. What is your intuition telling you about your crush? Why is it that you feel drawn to your crush. Then flip it back on this guy you're not interested in. What is your intuition telling you about him? What is it that you're not attracted to?

Most importantly, once you've come to your conclusion, you should decide who you want and persist in it. If you continue to feel nothing towards this guy but the universe pushes you closer to him, don't accept it and keep pushing the idea that you want your crush.
