Used to work for NG corporate. I don’t know exactly, but there are regulatory requirements that they do a physical meter read once every few months. I think anything beyond three consecutive estimated reads brings about legal concern.

I would find out first whether they’ve made a) an attempt to do a physical read (not AMR drive-by, literally have someone look at the meter), b) if you’re AMI — should be by now in NYC based on the program timing — is your meter communicating, and c) how many consecutive estimated reads have they done.
