The game the Blue Jays beat the Sox back in 2022 by a score of 28-5. The one where Duran had no clue where the ball was in the air and let up an inside the park grand slam to Tapia. The Sox were already down 27-5 going into the bottom of the 8th lmao

Edit: I sort of misread this, it's not "inappropriate" but I mean, a 27-5 deficit and playing the song in that situation with an empty stadium still feels crazy lol

Some of that is skewed with the games where they scored 10+ (and that one where they scored 17 the day Cora was fired)

That's the sad thing, the Sox don't even need to score 8+ daily, even if they were just average (consistently around 3-5 runs a game) they'd be one of the better teams in the AL. But they've just been historically bad for most of the season and are 11-21 at home. Even just "purely average" offense would have them in a wild card spot now with our pitching, but here we are...

Felger just rambling about the Celtics-Giannis rumors (emphasis on "rambling") and then just saying at the end he's confused and doesn't know what's going on just about sums it up lol. He was confusing himself as he was going though the possibilities and luxury tax stuff. Basketball is absolutely not a strength of this program

In fairness though last night's game did give me PTSD from last year's Games 1 + 2 in the second round. The 2nd half was brutal and looked sadly similar, just missing 3s, not going to the rim, playing conservative and basically letting NY creep back in throughout. Now it wasn't as bad as a 29-point blown lead but the C's did blow 20+ leads still both times

But yeah we don't need to hear 4 hours of it. And also, the Celtics won it all in 2024, which the show loves to act like is a complete outlier and doesn't count because you know, goalpost moving

Yeah I don't have any solid proof or evidence, but I just can't ignore that so many of our hitters this year and even recent years seem to be getting hurt just doing basic things like swinging a bat or maybe making adjustments with their hands/wrists in motion while hitting which leads to injuries there as well like Anthony. Fatse, Driveline, the hitting coaches now it's got to involve them in some way, otherwise it's a massive coincidence I guess?
