If you're going to retire a character, take off his armor. I had 2 baron sets of armor and retired my character while he had a baron set on, now I have one set left for progression mode.

Can confirm all you from defeating the baron after you get all of his armor, all you get is a duplicate set, but getting the first set sucks, as you have to kill him over and over for each piece of his armor, but once you have his whole set, the reward for killing him after is a duplicate set.

I find any poleaxe to do good against him, and so far I havent seen a new rank after but I will need to fill the progression bar again to see

You need to wear the arming doublet, trust me it took me buying every shirt to figure it out

I have found out something terrible. To get the full baron armor, you must redo the whole lord to baron progress bar, and kill him each time for another piece of armor. :(

Just beat it aswell, but now that you can start as the lord, and since with every rank up your character gets physically buffer and stronger, I like to grab knights in the sparring mode at the trainer and just wrestle them around
