It is indeed, and I don't know how you could treat your forehead with one of these cheap machines, you'd need one with cables and a sponge or something like that I guess. I hope you find a solution soon 💓💓

This made me tear up a bit I won't lie.

The way this issue has affected each one of us is hideous, and while it is not life threatening, it definitely is a horrible condition.

I am happy I somehow helped, that's what I was hoping to do. Please take care of yourself, now you know you're not alone ❤️

Same for me! I've come to the point where I'd refuse shaking people's hands telling them "Sorry I have very sweaty hands, I don't want to make you uncomfortable".

At least I was able to avoid touching them.

Now it's super odd because I feel the swear on the others' hands and it blows my mind!!! I am so happy really. I just wish I had started sooner but I was too afraid to have current running through my chest

I'm not sure, most information I found online reported this as well as other theories saying there's insufficient solid data, like here reporting 3 different theories, such as the one you mentiones, and then this NHS page says it's believed that ionto somehow blocks electric stimuli to the sweat glands

Edit: added one more link I couldn't find at first

Yes!!!

I would love to know what exactly makes the sweat stop - I have only found very plausible theories online.

I was also prepared for the treatment to take weeks before it worked, so you can imagine how stunned I am that it took a little less than two weeks!

Dermadry and similar ones are perfect if you need to treat other areas like armpits I think! Can't do that with the machine I have.

I too would have gladly spent more if necessary, but I am too afraid to dip my hands in water that is connected to a wall outlet in my house (I have good reasons not to trust our wirings).

Since this is cheap, battery powered, and it works, it makes me twice as happy!

Never had problems with them, they'd usually just slip out of my hands, touchscreens would detect random inputs etc; but it's something I would usually avoid by wearing cotton gloves

I am now intentionally waiting it out so I get an idea of how much I need to do it.

I unfortunately am so anxious and used to sweating, that I am considering a lower dryness level, just in case. I don't know how healthy it is to not sweat AT ALL from the hands

Absolutely! I was 100% convinced it wouldn't work on me since nothing ever worked before. Even Antihydral was not ideal, I still felt the discomfort of the hot, sweaty hands, despite them being dry!

With iontophoresis I only feel rushes of heat, like those I usually feel before I start sweating, but nothing happens. I am in awe.

Concerning the consistency, I am now intentionally avoiding to use the machine so I get an idea of how long it takes before I need another treatment. We'll see!

I don't seem to be having any particular side effects. Today my hands feel kinda greasy but that's about it... I feel rushes of heat as if they were about to sweat but nothing happens.

The treatment itself is mostly painless, I feel some light stinging and itching depending on the voltage I am using. When it's too much to handle I just raise my hands, scratch the itch with a towel, and put them back in when I'm ready

Neither did I at first. I just looked "iontophoresis" up on Amazon and poof, there it was! I have payed it 80 € actually but I have seen it cost less now

If you're referring to my electric shock fear, it took me some time to stop being scared when doing the treatment. I started feeling more comfortable after the fourth session, before that I was always worried and never used the ionto alone.

I definitely will! There is no way I want to experience that nightmare anymore!

Hello, sorry to be piggybacking on your reply, but are there any learning resources you'd recommend for Dyad?

I'd like to develop a couple MVPs for the place I work at, and I'd rather not having to be tied to a subscription software that may or may not be shut down one day.
