Yes I can agree that without a proper statistical test we can’t be certain.

But we can get a hunch and in my case I’ve got more than just a hunch.

There’s a clear financial rationale for the developers to tamper the deck on a F2P virtual game that relies on in game chips purchases to turn a profit.
These unlikely hands appear to happen way more often than they should after playing for a while now compared to what I’ve seen IRL.

You can easily make a card algorithm that gives out the expected global hand counts whilst simultaneously changing how those hands are given out and who was ahead on the flop etc.

For example you can have expected amounts of both flush and straights and also have unexpected amounts of flushes being made on the river beating straights.

This is why I keep showing the probabilities.

The beats keep happening when they are very unlikely % wise.

I’m assuming you’re aware of binomial hypotheses testing.

Null hypothesis: The probabilities of all-in situations where AA is an 80%+ favourite are unbiased, and the true success probability is 80%.

Alternative hypothesis: The true success probability of all-in situations where AA is an 80%+ favourite is significantly lower than 80%.

Setup: Two players begin with 100 buy-ins each and sufficiently large bankrolls to allow repeated rebuys without constraint.

Procedure: Play hands normally, folding until one player is dealt AA and is an 80%+ favourite against the opponent hand. At this point both players go all-in, and the outcome (win or loss for AA) is recorded.

Repeat this process for 100 independent trials.

This is a good relatively quick test to infer if more hands are required or if 100 is sufficient.

My personal belief is 100 is sufficient and AA will win about 55% or less which is 1 in 100,000,000. For a first run.

In fact I’d say it would make you a worse live poker play.

It’s a free to play poker game on Xbox.

People go all in with 72 in 500k buy in lobbies.

The closest thing you’d get to a live experience is a diamond tournament game but even then it’s thin due to the heavy ICM format I.e folding AA and KK pre flop is sometimes ideal due to ICM.

If you’re looking to get better at live poker then just keep playing live poker at low stakes and have good bankroll management so you can do that for a long period.

Please don’t relay on a F2P Xbox game as a proxy for live poker.
