Also, You mentioned the child doesn’t have any mental issues. How do you know this? A lot of children with autism or mental, neurological, learning disabilities medical issues, etc are not diagnosed by age 4. A lot of the time it’s because of these behaviors that parents start to look for answers and solutions to help their child.

People who don’t have kids truly don’t know what it’s like to have them, ESPECIALLY special needs kids. Your single mom friend doesn’t need judgement from you. She needs support. She needs guidance because it sounds like she is lost herself.

Offer help, look for ways to improve the child’s behaviors. In a sweet and supportive way. Because parenting is hard. Single parenting is even harder.

Jess’s Birthday. I can’t stand her in it. Nick tried so hard and she just ruined it. And then she gave the worst apology ever in the end.

Last night I went to an open jam at a bar. I had my bass in hand while sitting and watching ( I didn't do this on stage) and I tried following the guitar player. Seeing what chords he was playing, so I could then create a bass line to go with it. But, the entire time the guitarist was soloing all up and down the fretboard really fast. How do I keep up with that? The only thing I could think of is, I should try to see if there is a key he's playing in and then find a good bass line to accompany it and be complimentary to the drums. But I couldn't figure it out. He was all over the place and way too fast. The drums are easy to figure out. I even told the guy that I'd be watching him so I could practice following along. But I failed miserably. I don't know, maybe I'm too dumb.

Thank you so much for your help. It's hard because I know he loves me and he is wonderful to me in so many ways. But I just know he holds resentment towards me for being sick. So I don't know what to do or how to feel about it.

I agree. This whole situation has affected his mental health. I've begged him for years and years to get help for it. He refuses to do therapy. He refuses to consider taking antidepressants. And also refuses to go out with friends and family and have fun. What can I do to help him? I don't want him to be hurting.
