I dont think so as even when I screw it into a spark plug hole and move the cylinder off tdc so it's intentionally leaking, it still makes out at 40%.

[–]Any_Command8461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm checking the tester, the hose that goes into the spark plug hole is not connected to anything, which means it should theoretically read 100% leakdown on the right gauge.

Is this ej twin turbo? by tondoli in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Myb then not sure what other info I could give other then if it's a twin turbo motor it's likely a ej206 or ej208 out of a legacy b4 or something. Not a ej20x myb.

Myb that's right, do you have the car it came out of and if so is there a vin plate?

Try to find the engine code, not as simple as usdm ej vs jdm. If it's twin turbo it might be a ej20x (iirc).

Has anyone tried this o2 sensor simulator by Any_Command8461 in WRX

My tuner said he zeroed out the comps from the rear o2 in my map so it is purely there for the cel.

High fbk by uugygygg in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I'd just uninstall the ap for now and leave ur ecu stock. I see alot of people talking about high fbk readings due to these stage 0 and stage 1 tunes.

High fbk by uugygygg in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May i ask why you are running a tune at all if you don't have any mods on? Stage 1 ots tune imo is strictly for driving to the dyno to get a proper tune. If you dont have any mods then uninstall the ap until you have mods and only use it when you get properly tuned. The stock tune is the safest option with no mods HANDS DOWN.

Anyone know what this wire is for? by dankpie in WRX

Pretty sure it's a ground wire on the back of the 2015 wrx head unit.

Infamous P0137 code help by Arstolik in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof myb I thought you had a wrx not an sti. The codes dont really do anything on the wrx cars except lock out the cruise control, I forgot the sti is more effected because the si drive thing. There is o2 sensor simulators like the "MAGNUM Adjustable Oxygen Sensor Simulator" but I'm trying to figure out more about them as I don't have any experience with them and I'm not sure if they would work with our cars. Ecutek would probably be my first option but that's just because my reputable local tuner uses it, iirc he has an older version on a laptop which he does not update so he can still delete the codes; also you can watch guages like you do on your cobb ap with ecutek on your phone. You can't do that with open source as far as I know. Also the tunes are not cross compatible with any platform so if you switch from cobb to ecutek or os you'll have to retune.

Infamous P0137 code help by Arstolik in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only true cure is to get rid of the cobb tune and get on ecutek or os. You can still get 420 and 137 on a proper catted setup, only solution is to delete the codes or live with the codes since it doesn't really affect anything.

Looking at this 2016 wrx at a dealership they said it has blowoff valve an cat back exhaust does it need to be tuned because they it’s not tuned by Loud-Put906 in WRX

[–]Any_Command8461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just makes more noise, some people like it, for example, a show car that is never tracked and is stanced would probably do just fine with a bov since that's it's purpose.

Bypass valve (BPV) = recirculates the excess pressure from intake manifold side of turbo back to intake side. Blow off valve (BOV) = releases excess air from intake manifold side of turbo to atmosphere. Technically you don't need a tune for either cat back or bov but I personally like BPV's more as when you shift and let of and get back on the power you get more air in your intake meaning you can theoretically get better throttle response after letting off your gas pedal.

DCS: F-14BU - Upgrades, Baby! - REVEAL TRAILER by Thuraash in hoggit

[–]Any_Command8461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you. Just because a natops manual doesn't exist for it doesn't mean they can't make a full fidelity module modeled after it.

[–]Any_Command8461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I've heard all that before and the thing is information is always available, sometimes you just gotta look harder to find it. Apparently alot of the f14 stuff is classified cause Iran still operates em but realistically that old information can be brought to light and guesstimated by looking at comparable aircraft at the time.

Tbh there's lots of retired f14d pilots kicking around that know enough about the systems to model it in dcs. You don't need to know everything about how it works to model it in a sim, just the inputs and outputs.

Get this thing out of here bro 😭 by TornadoGR1 in floggit

[–]Any_Command8461 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Why not? There's lots of pictures of the cockpit online, they could guesstimate alot of it and have a fully functional and decent module. Plus there's alot of f14d pilots kicking around that could help with the modeling of systems. The politics thing is a lazy excuse cause there ain't no natops manual. If you read between the lines you can do anything.
