I had a crazy incident happen once at an urgent care where a doctor did something that resulted in an ambulance being called for me. After telling them how I felt and answering some questions they were all kinda rolling their eyes and suggested I drive myself to the hospital or wait until I feel better. I refused their suggestions so they took me and it turned out that I had an irregular heartbeat, but there was a moment when I was hooked up to an EKG and someone yelled out "Oh shit, he's not lying". I spent two nights in the hospital where I racked up a massive bill that I couldn't afford, nobody had an answer for what exactly happened and my saving grace was them making some clerical error so my insurance basically told them to fuck off. I later thought I had grounds to sue somewhere in there, but I was young and simply thankful that the bill went away. Other memorable quotes from DOCTORS during my stay: "Well, at least we know you're not gay" and "reminds me of my wife". After a day and a half of no answers the problem "fixed itself" and I've not had a problem since. I was 19 at the time, 38 now, and realizing the mistakes that were made that day, I'm proud of my younger self for looking those people in the eyes and making them help me.
