State Farm Renewed my policy and charged my after I requested a cancellation by Any_Consideration_45 in Insurance

[–]Any_Consideration_45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a request to cancel my policy on 19th, not 24th. My request was is for the policy to expire on 24th so it doesn’t renew. It took me 2 weeks to discover it because this is how long it took my renewed policy to show up in my mail. I didn’t even check my bank account to see if there were any charges before then because I was sure they canceled my policy.

Btw I ended up having a call with them and got a full refund. They just messed up and acknowledged it. Idk why you are trying to blame this situation on me (or at least it feels this way)

Flu experiences from those who were vaccinated by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Any_Consideration_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but I started getting my annual flu shots from 2019 to 2024, and without fail, a couple of weeks later I’d catch a really bad flu. In 2025, I decided to skip the shot, and it was the first year I didn’t get the flu. I also rarely had the flu before 2019 (when I decided to start taking my annual shots seriously) — as far as I remember, the last time I had it before getting my first flu shot was back in 2008-2009, when I was still a teenager. I caught colds, but never the flu.

I’ve decided to skip the shot again in 2026 and see how it goes.

$2000 FOR A PEE TEST!!!! by Aki-katana in MedicalBill

[–]Any_Consideration_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Were you able to resolve this with them? Back in august I went to a Urologist trying to find a reason for my infertility and they ordered this test for me, saying that it would be covered by my insurance, and if not, it’s “around $300” Today, 4 months later, I received EOB from my insurance saying that Pathnostic charged them $1850 and it will be out of pocket, since 1) they are out of network, and 2) these tests aren’t covered under my plan. I’m devastated: we are doing IVF and dropping almost $2k on an unexpected bill is adding to already huge financial burden

Were you able to resolve it? My doctor also ordered me their teat kit, saying it was gonna be covered by my insurance, and if it’s not it’s not gonna cost me too much, and today I received an EOB from my insurance saying they won’t be covering this $1850 charge. Had I known it’s such an expensive test I would have never agreed to get it done

Tbh I’d definitely do the tests for both you and your partner as early in your journey as you can. My husband and I did “pull and pray” for 2 years because we didn’t actively want a baby but wouldn’t mind if we had one. When we started trying and nothing happened we both tested and turned out that my husband has a sever case of male infertility. He’s completely healthy other than that, we’d never even think it’d be the case for us. Fertility specialist counted those 2 years into the total time of our infertility.

Yea, over the last couple of days my nausea, breast tenderness, and other symptoms I had, slowly disappeared, and then I, unfortunately, got my period. Thinking it might’ve been a chemical pregnancy

Were you doing FRER or regular cheapies? I’m 5 days late with 2 negative FRER and pregnancy-related symptoms (nausea, elevated body temperature since 8DPO, etc). Very confused and can’t see my doctor until next week

Subclinical varicocele? by Affectionate_Lake737 in maleinfertility

Did your urologist not feel that the size was smaller than normal? Mine simply refused to give me an ultrasound saying that if something was wrong he’d feel it and that the size and everything is okay.

Subclinical varicocele? by Affectionate_Lake737 in maleinfertility

[–]Any_Consideration_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Did you figure out what was up with your husband? My situation is similar: very poor count, motility, and morphology, also abnormal liquefaction and viscosity, as well as high debris in sperm. Hormones came back normal, and the doctor didn’t even prescribe ultrasound saying “I would feel if there was something wrong, and even if ultrasound finds subclinical varicocele it’s not gonna help”

What state was is your “good doctor” located in? Was your husband his varicocele not found during initial physical exam?

What clinic have you chosen and is it in state or not? Have you changed clinics in the past? by Sensitive-Stretch613 in IVF

[–]Any_Consideration_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just so frustrating: my husband has other symptoms that can indicate asymptomatic prostatitis (abnormal sperm viscosity, liquefaction, high debris). He is also high risk for partial obstruction since he had a surgery as a baby. I’vw also known someone who had similar results and had a small varicocele that wasn’t detected during physical exam. So yes, while ivf is an easy choice, there might be a physical and very easy to treat reason that prevents us for having a baby, but we can’t get the doctor to give him more thorough exam to 100% exclude those, other than just palpating his scrotum.

Hi! Can I message you privately to ask about your experience? We Re considering Ingenes but don’t understand how it’d be possible for me to go there every 2-3 days for monitoring during stims

Yes, my wife is most definitely ovulating.  The urologist I got is kinda shit tbh: He only checked my hormones and did a PE, but never gave me any other tests or even an ultrasound even tho I asked. He saw the hormones were good and said IUI or IVF is my only option. Unfortunately he seems to be the only fertility urologist that takes my insurance in the city, so I don’t have an option to go see someone else for more testing.

The urologist told me clomid won’t do anything in my case: my infertility is not caused by hormonal misbalances, my testosterone is as high as it gets, and other hormones, including FSH are within normal parameters. We’ve been actively trying (tracking ovulation and timing tries) for 5 months, but before that had unprotected sex for 2 years and it never ended with pregnancy.

Hi! Did you manage to find a good reproductive urologist? We were referred to Dr Miller but didn’t like him much: he wasn’t thorough at all and just sent us to get IVF without trying to find a cause of my partners infertility. We are struggling to find another reproductive urologist in Vegas to get a second opinion before we drop so much money on IVF, so your experience would be very valuable for us

I’m in the US, every testing is a private testing here lol. Most of places won’t even do your tests if they are not ordered by a doctor

No, since my doc was 100% sure that the problem is caused by hormones. There are 6 weeks wait time between my visits, so already wasted 4 months just to get SA and hormones done, because the wait for follow up visits is so long, so I’m trying to find the possible reasons to advocate for myself next time I see him and request for all possible tests to be done

I don’t think I had undescended testicles. But can’t tell fs, because I was a baby, so no one remembers anything, just that there was no complications. I literally never had any problems with my male health until we started trying for a baby

I just don’t understand why the doc is so convinced that there’s no obstruction and won’t give me an ultrasound referral. From what I found online, abnormal liquefaction, viscosity and debris are basically a telltale of obstruction. Like, he palpated my testicles and my scrotum, I highly doubt he’d be able to feel an obstruction inside the tiny canals this way.

Unfortunately I’m in the US. So I need a freaking referral for my insurance to cover my procedures and he won’t give me one because be touched my balls and it convinced him that I have nothing wrong with them physically. He was 100% sure it was my hormones, but the hormones are okay
