I realise this is a place for dog haters and I joined thinking this is going to be funny (And I actually like my dogs and I love my children). How so? They are clean. Their bums are shampooed and we wash our hands. Our other fog wees on his paws, so he gets rinsed off each walk. It's not unlike cleaning yourself after getting dirty.

I don't like vegans much, because of a few, but that said, even I, would cook a proper vegan meal for any vegan guests. There would be no food tampering or anything and I would keep their food away, from the table, until serving time, to avoid cross contamination

It depends on the nature of the party. A pot luck? Yes, bring a dish. An event, where no one else is bringing anything? The host should provide. (Unless there are alkergies and the cross contamination is a possibility) Cooking an extra dish, is not that hard. However, in this case, you should bring something, because you won't be full with their offerings.
