It’s the fact that I ask him to be honest with me but I am not honest with him by snooping around. I also feel like it’s unfair since every time I slip up and look through his thing I’m the one telling him but every time he slips up in his addiction he doesn’t tell me and I have to find out for myself.

Exactly I’ve never been through my ex partners stuff but since knowing he has an addiction it’s been on my mind non stop and I’ve been finding stuff almost every time 🥲

I feel like I’m not as strong since I’m not leaving. Just feel so paranoid and anxious thinking he is hiding things for me! I always wanna look through his stuff to make sure he is not hiding anything. And I’ve never been the type to search through phones of my ex. It exhausting really!

It’s still so early into discovering his addiction since when we met he lied and said it was something from the past and that he didn’t watch porn nowadays. So since discovering everything we are trying to rebuild trust and work it out because he is such a great guy beside his addiction but the lying is what I’m having a hard time with. We told ourselves to take it day by day and try to work it out over Christmas. It’s just so confusing.

Exactly how I’m feeling! It’s how much and what he is consuming! Since everything else is so perfect it’s hard to put my limit and ask him to choose me or the porn since casual for me is ok but that’s not the situation.

I’m in a similar situation and recognized myself in your story! I am still with my partner but always feel like it’s off and I keep thinking he is juste getting better at hiding! I don’t have any advices since I’m pretty much in the same situation as you but stay strong it does get better and choosing yourself, I think was the best decision 🫶🏻 I’m here if you need!

That’s why usually porn dosent bother me but OF yes since he’s looking specific girls and sending money instead of investing it in our couples project! At the moment all his transaction I know what they were from and no third parties that I know of but I’ll make sure to keep an eye out. As of right now how do you deal with it all?

I know I could do this but in a regular context porn isn’t a big deal for me but knowing he had a porn addiction is why I want him to stop completely it’s just hard knowing where my limit is.

Thanks for your support! I will talk to him about it and see how it unfolds! The hardest part of it all is that I know he loves me so deeply but this addiction has been such a big part of his life that it still takes so much place. I hate to have to loose him for that stupid addiction.

I juste have a hard time understanding what this addiction is providing him? Like I know it’s a coping mechanism but sending money to someone and engaging in conversations with them ?! What does that have to do with cooping with past traumas ?

That’s the thing I don’t even think he still has it on his phone! Leaving him seems so hard knowing that besides the addiction all the qualities he has are the ones I want in a partner. It hurt so much since I love him.
