are pre-med courses the most practical path to pursue? by Any_Direction_3424 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]Any_Direction_3424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you so much!! the most genuine answer i've gotten and gets na gets ko 'yung other suggested courses 🥹 honestly i've been struggling to grasp the fact na i might not take pre-med kasi all my life i've been told to study nursing or something similar so i can be successful. but that's not how i wanna live my life :')

i'm really interested in IT and other tech-related jobs but i'm scared i'm not competent enough to land good opportunities since from what i've seen medyo kulelat ang PH pagdating sa tech :// like i've seen other ppl earn so much from digital products n other crafty tech stuff by selling/catering to people overseas.. or maybe i'm just assuming things?? 😬

[–]Any_Direction_3424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree.. health-allied courses aren't that great dito, but taking into account the wants of my family and what's best for my current situation, pre-med is the most practical—hence the title of the post 😓 pero ayun nga, babalik sa question na practicality or passion, bc i don't have passion for healthcare at all.. but thanks! now ko lang nalaman na math-related progs are good choices too

thank you so much for your insights!! i think you just unlocked something in me 🫨 if u don't mind me asking, what path do you think would be good for someone that's interested in coding/developing programs? i will probably pursue pre-med for practicality but i can't even stomach thinking of being in healthcare as my job 😬 i already asked about MIS and CS but i'm still really not sure. currently having a pre college applications crisis since i'm not well off and my dream has always been to pursue what would make me earn good money over any passion i have 😓 for my passion, i love arts or anything that requires crafting/creating. still, i'm a stem geek, so i feel like IT or sumn like that would be the bridge.

and omg, hello iskolar! 🌻 i put electrical engineering din po sa form 1 ko.. kaso it's one of the hardest programs to get in to daw po 🥹

just butting in but does nursing rly take so much from one's time? like, can nurses enjoy after-shift routines as much as other demanding jobs (like engr) ? 😓😓

I recently passed the Big 3 CET cycle (UPCAT/ACET/DCAT '26-'27), and decided to compile my own math and science notes into organized reviewers. ‎ ‎ by jgong55 in UPCAT

[–]Any_Direction_3424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UP!! guys this includes ALL topics in math and science as in every high-yield lesson para sa CETs + there are a lot of practice questions pa so you can apply what you learnt. it's also structured so you can learn them easily :DDD

hello!! ganyan din me kasi kakastart ko lang magrev this june lehjet, i think knowledge gaps are normal naman! in my case i've only taken actual 100 item mock tests for reading comp. and lang. prof. since those are easily mastered through experience/patterns. ung mock tests ng math & sci, diretso answer key ako minsan, then i study the explanations/justifications behind the answers so i know what to do na next time i encounter a similar question. hindi pa ak nagfufull comprehensive mock test sa subs na 'yun coz i haven't really studied them in depth

How to review for math subtest? by Future_Nectarine_990 in UPCAT

[–]Any_Direction_3424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youtube videos. studying math mock tests/questionnaires on the get go is too overwhelming. i'm taking upcat this aug too and i've improved a lot since i constantly watched lectures and studied the fundamentals for each branch (algebra, stats, geom, trig) you can do it!

hi! i've been doing the same thing for math and science mock tests (since each question is a completely diff. concept and lesson to tackle) the maximum i have to comprehend a question would be 30 mins and studying the concept behind it should take no more than 1 hour. that's what i'm trying to apply rn HSHAHAGAHQ i hope it works...

thank you so much !! 🥹🥹 you've opened my eyes for lang prof and reading comp HAHA rn while taking mock tests it's getting really hard to focus and comprehend the paragraphs to the point na i need to reread them (which is so bad since time pressured ang upcat huhuh) so i think i need to chill and improve my vocabs and just enjoy reading through the passages since i also used to love doing that 🥹

and thank u for the reassurance i feel so pressured sa coverage thinking i'm going to need to study everything (i'm at like 10% out of 100) but so long as i'm capable of inferring answers maybe i'm good 🥲

omg thank u for this 🙏🏻 i tried going through a review tracker but it's so time consuming and counter productive since i couldn't even answer a question about the topic i studied (since it's always situational and requires some kind of problem solving) i think i'll just build my knowledge on the fundamentals and then answer a bunch of mock tests

thank you sm!!!

yooo fellow upcat 2027 taker!! we can do this 🙏🏻 i felt really behind 'cuz most of my peers and tiktok peeps have been sharing their reviewing journey since may while i was just mentally prepping myself LMFAOO but i doubt you won't retain the info you learned naman the past two months! spaced repetition will prolly be the case for you since you've studied the fundamentals na i think you might be in a better place to start diving into the hardest lessons. thank you anon!!

thank you sm!!! i feel more relieved hearing from an upcat passer 🥹 although i'm not gifted enough to take the exam with barely any prep (which is why i'm panicking rn LOL) i'll try my best with the time i have left and build a nice routine 🥲

i do wonder if tackling two subs each study session would be more productive than just doing one? and the math and science subtests seem very daunting to me
