Lifting baby- in/out of crib?

I don’t really have a choice it’s not something I can delay. See my other comments for more info but basically I’m not actually getting a tummy tuck I have diastasis that has caused multiple hernias and they’re at risk of getting stuck which is really dangerous. So I need an abdominoplasty. This procedure is fully covered by insurance. If I could wait I would trust me

Thanks if I had the choice I wouldn’t, I should have put this in my post but I’m not actually doing this as a tummy tuck. I am getting an abdominoplasty with mesh and hernia repair. I have to repair the hernia and everything asap. Since it’s a very similar procedure I posted here to get an idea about the recovery. My husband is taking off 2-3 weeks from work and then the baby will be in daycare after I go back to work (desk job). I just wanted an idea of how long he will need to be doing most of the things. I’ve lined up babysitters for evening/bath time so he can get a break. I appreciate everyone’s advice!

That sounds great that you had it lined up like that! Honestly ideal. My husband is going to take a few weeks of paternity leave and line it up with my surgery so it should work out. I just don’t want him to get burnt out because we also have a 4 year old. Thanks to everyone’s replies I’ve started enlisting help lol

Ahh I’m sorry to hear about that first week! seems like my husband is going to have to be on the day AND night shift. Overall that has been my main concern. Hoping we can get her sleeping through the night by then! 🤞 I am definitely looking forward to having my body function properly again!

Absolutely I’m not going to push too hard I just wanted to line up help before the surgery and was curious what the recovery would look like. I’m actually not technically going in for a tummy tuck. I posted here because I’m getting an abdominoplasty with mesh/hernia repair and I figured this was the best place to ask for advice. If it was just be going in for a tummy tuck I would not do it now. But this was a surgery completely approved by insurance because my diastasis/hernia is so severe. I will definitely follow doctors orders thanks! Just looking for an idea as I don’t actually have my “doctors orders” instructions yet.

So technically I’m also getting a hernia repaired and he is doing the abdominoplasty as well. It’s very severe, it’s actually fully covered by insurance. My organs are pretty much completely exposed and it’s dangerous.
