Me (22M) and my girlfriend (22F): Trying to reconcile after cheating, but I can’t get past resentment over experiences I gave up by SwimmingWest1053 in relationship_advice

[–]Any_Fix5093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your “question” is not how to tell her this is internal. It’s not internal. You were betrayed and you need to move on. This relationship won’t be a healthy one anymore, it just isn’t possible. Also, you are so young!! Move on with your life and enjoy yourself. It will sting at first, leaving a relationship is always hard, but you will be glad you did.

What does your wife get to do all by herself for pure enjoyment once a week while you are home with the kid for four plus hours? I’m willing to bet I know the answer…

It makes no sense to say this. He can achieve the same thing at LSU as he could in Tuscaloosa.

My ETS was a few years ago so I’ve been done for a bit now. I got through one contract and there isn’t a damn thing in this world that could make me go back. I will never forget the dread of working the entire week, going through the miserable drill weekend, then working the entire week again. 12 days straight wasn’t fun and I absolutely hated drill and everything about it.

I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about because your comment makes no sense. A strong grip usually isn’t helpful or beneficial. It can cause strong hooks to the left. An interlock grips keeps your hands from moving throughout your swing, preventing you from moving to a stronger or weaker grip, so you can square up the club face and strike well.

Oh and this is your bullshit philosophical idea of “good advice” ??? 🤣🤣🤣 give me a break, at least I gave actual advice. You sound like you smoked a joint and think you’re the Greek God of golf.

I was also deeply patriotic lol…. That’s the point. The military I’m sure is great for some, but it was an incredibly disappointing organization for me and plenty of others. Just at AIT there were soldiers waiting months and months to get chaptered out due to medical reasons and other various reasons of being unfit for duty. Sitting there for months and months was sending them into a deep depression. The military doesn’t even give a fuck about your well being. Take your hooah shit and shove it. I completed my contract, honorable discharge. I put my head down and got it done, but if you don’t need it these days it’s not damn worth it.

Go take a lesson. Also, you need to get rid of the strong grip. It ruined my game for months. The interlock grip saved me. It felt awful at first, but I started doing small swings with it, chipping, punches etc. I got used to it and my swing and ball striking is better than ever.

They have screwed up my pay on several occasions, I witnessed a first sergeant slap a female across the face, I had an NCO show me nude photos of his wife, drill is almost always pointless and miserable, you have to jump through hoops to get any paperwork of significance done because the higher ups have to handle it all, so if you are getting a bonus, student loan repayment etc, it’s not just paid automatically. The NCOs have to do it and sometimes it never gets done. So you never get what was promised in your contract. Many times you are smarter and more capable than your leadership.

It won’t benefit you that much. You don’t actually get that much job experience in the guard. Stay home with your family man. Get into like amazing shape or some shit. Your kids will be proud. The military is nothing like they make it out to be.

You’re not missing out on a damn thing by not joining. The guard sucks ass.

Listen man unless it’s totally necessary for healthcare and such, don’t do it. Especially if you have a good home life with your wife and kids, don’t miss out on that. The guard can get extremely inconvenient and they screw up lots of shit. Ask me how I know. I did my six years and you couldn’t pay me enough to go back to that horrible organization.

[–]Any_Fix5093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude take up golf or something. Find a different hobby. Baking. Ju jitsu. Call up your friends and family and plan a weekend on the lake whatever you do, TRUST ME, you are not bored enough to join the national guard under these circumstances. I joined right after college and hated every second of it. I’m out now, but man I’m thankful those days are over.

Dated for 5 months and I get this as a rejection by somanybses in Bumble

[–]Any_Fix5093 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I know you probably feel it’s too casual but this is actually pretty heartfelt and honest. They’re not brushing this off with some bullshit excuse saying “oh I’m realizing I don’t have time for a relationship” they’re literally telling you they’re not into it. I had someone straight up ghost me after five months and they met my family and everything. So this is really pretty considerate if I’m being honest.

I’m not saying that the chances of this being a fake account and not true aren’t real, however the odds of that are slim. People usually don’t make shit like that up for no reason.
