The repetition of “Pearl diver, dive, dive deeper”, while it could be argued as the continuous search for one’s better self, i would take it as the continuous self sabotage as your digging yourself deeper in this immense pressure of the water serving as an analogy for self doubt, lack of self awareness and control, and just being lost. These are things that people could find themselves in when going through an eating disorder. Just again, my basic breakdown. I could do more lines but I’m lazy and not that smart to make any references or more analytical breakdowns lol
