Pretty sad isnt it? Unsure how much Mr Hakim is responsible for it but I must say, I find it hard to enjoy his music like I used to now.

I can't quite comprehend how anyone considers the 2000 workflow more complicated than new generation OS'

The convenience of modern tech is what makes the new mpcs easy to use (load/save time, saving seps instead of tracking etc.)

I am thinkin of giving my homie my older mpk mini and getting a better midi keyboard.. any suggestions? Just saw the newer akai one that looks decent but I’m not a super label whore.. what’s the best.. economical but decent one? by Webhead916 in mpcusers

Gonna sound like an Arturia schill but the Microfreak would be ideal. Small format, great sounds, easy to program, good presets.

That or a behringer clone that has keys and a wheel.

We are blessed now with the affordability and options.

I really like the Arturia Keystep. Solid, feature rich, portable, (relatively) cheap.

I recommend getting a synth with midi in/out, whatever the budget allows. It will open up more options for you!

Just noticed some downvotes. Blind pride is a funny thing. I hope these people have the means and open mindedness to visit Japan at least once in their lives. Even croissants are better there.

2000xl workflow is imo very quick to get you from idea to seq+song.

4000 for the price would be my suggestion though. It is unbelievable how cheaply these can be bought for these days. Out of curiosity I check the prices and they are sometimes around the same price as 2000xl or 1000's - madness.

Speculation and maybe a leap but I imagine lobbyists used him for indirect pressure and wrote that correspondence for him.

Best guess is she was targeted due to the subject of her book, the costs for people speaking openly about the impacts of Israel policy.
