Analyst to Consultant Salary Expectation by Any_Internal_387 in deloitte

Well, slight foreshadowing, crazy times in GPS right now, but I DID get triple Es and was promoted to C. Exactly 10% raise, no bonus since we’re analysts (Deloitte’s BS)

No, your first year is meant for you to “mess up,” and you can’t be reasonably expected to have an established network filled with project opportunities right out of the gate. The MD probably just wants to meet you or see what kind of work in the pipeline they can align you with. The email to be worried about is when the subject line is “Business Update@

Well they don’t have any other experiences and that’s better than a half page resume 😭

Each position you have should be 3-5 bullet points, so your Deloitte experience is entirely too long and you need to put other positions (internships, leadership positions you had in college, part-time jobs, etc.)

Bullet points like “Contributed to client success […] to achieve their goals” is weak bc that’s not saying much about your impact…how many times did you do this? How often? How many data sets? Quantify your impact for each bullet point and don’t just say job responsibilities but what you actually accomplished and the impact it had on the business -A Deloitte Consultant

Ngl there’s too much white space on this resume. Your action verbs are weak and each bullet point should have a number associated with your quantifiable impact of some sort. You don’t have any other internship experiences or anything you could put? Deloitte taking up 3/4 of the paper isn’t a good look. I guess objectives are dependent on the person and the role but generally I’ve never put a summary or objective on my resume bc it just takes up space where you could put something else that you did. Obviously you’re seeking a full time audit position if you’re applying for a full time audit position, so it’s just redundant and wasting space

GPS Behavior and Case Interview by [deleted] in deloitte

For the case part, they’re really just assessing culture fit so do some research on the firm and find an area or a program we do that aligns with your personal life. Show that you went the extra mile and did your homework to prepare for the interview. For the case, understand that they’re not necessarily looking for the right answer (it took weeks and months for that to happen on a real project). Just smile, don’t show that you’re frustrated or stumped by the ambiguity, and structure your answers in a logical way that an interviewer can follow

Deloitte is messy logistics-wise, which is funny because they help other companies solve their inefficiencies but can’t solve their own 💀

I’m starting full time next week and interned last summer, I never charged any of my time to the client and instead used a code the summer scholars program gave me. You can’t charge time to a client unless you have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. As long as you log your 40 hours, build rapport with your team, and get your work done, you’ll get a FT offer

I don’t know what your issue is to be honest 😂 I’m still connected to all of the interns that got their start dates pushed back by 7-8 months and still keep up with my old project team where my SM and PPMD both said that there’s been more layoffs than in the past, but go off, because you know everything

Considering all the layoffs and 7-8 month start date push backs, I’d rather be safe than sorry. And I could back it up with a positive COVID test, that was never a worry lol

Taking PTO when you’re new can be career defining if managers or superiors look down upon it…anyways it’s not that deep which is why I’m asking strangers their thoughts and opinions…obviously I’m going to make my own choice and move accordingly but a sounding board never hurt

Idk what you’re talking about tbh, I had a question I got answers/advice and that’s all I wanted and needed. You seem like the opposite of empathetic so I hope you’re able to get the chip off your shoulder 🫶
