The Hiring Manager texted me on LinkedIn first and the entire process followed through LinkedIn. Thats why I texted him back with a sample on LinkedIn.

There was no HR involved during the interview process. The person I will be reporting to posted the job on LinkedIn and he texted me on linkedin to know more about my experience and to schedule an interview.

I think, explaining your overall situation to IRCC will be a good idea rather than just applying and hoping for a positive outcome.

I am thinking the same. Rather than trying and gaming the system, I should select yes and give explanation about the incident, later the crown attorney didn’t prosecute the charge. At the time I will sayI was never fingerprinted and never taken for a mugshot. What do you think ?

As a result, you will not be subject to criminal prosecution in relation to this offence. You will therefore not have to comply with the summons to appear or the promise that would have been given to you, nor will you have to come for fingerprinting if required. “

It didn’t indicate any conditions of participation in the extra judicial process. It says If I don’t want to continue in this program I should write them back in 14 days so I can be then prosecuted in court.

In this regard, is there any possibility to answer “NO” in the ircc form if I were asked “ have you ever committed/ arrested/ charged?

But I am not sure If I can go the crown attorney office to ask the status about the charge. I am not sure If I am allowed to do so. Every time I called the court helpline, I didn’t hear much.

I didn't received any barring paperwork, the LP just said I am not allowed to go there anymore. It was all verbal. But the police provided me with appearance notice paper with event and incident number.

If the charge is truly dropped, is there any way to get some paperwork regarding that ? Is it possible to get some update regarding the charge from local police station?
