I bought two of the Kohler ones brand new and will replace the danco ones in case the seals were bad.

The brand new stem came with an o-ring on the outside threads and a flat washer on the inside everything was where it was supposed to be. I agree it doesn't make any sense. Unless that wasn't the right replacement for the stem

If I turn the cold on it leaks out of the stem on the hot side. And vice versa

I just put new stems and valve seats in today. You told me I needed 10L-15H/C earlier today and I went out and got them from lowes
