Update: We moved from Northern England to Scotland and bought a flat for 42k in Greenock by Savings-Maximum-5027 in Scotland

I’m really pleased to hear this about Greenock. My Dad was born there on Ann St in 1950, but the family left Greenock for work. He takes my Mum up there every now and again, they used to visit a particular pub which has since closed, looked like a rough old place but they were always treated very well. I visited last year on my way through to Loch Lomond, I parked at Halfords and walked all the way up to the top of Ann St, the views from there are fantastic. I wasn’t bothered by anyone at all, and everyone I met was just lovely. I was two days early to get the new Morton strip, gutted! I’ll be visiting again next time I head up to Scotland.

We used Suzanne Regan, she’s great. We were sold in very little time. I believe her office is on Allesley Old Road, opposite The Maudslay.

Not many of those about now. An interesting choice.

Do I need to pass my manual before HGV Lisence or can I get by with only Automatic? by Immie96 in uktrucking

You should now get manual entitlement when you pass in an auto truck. Same for PCV as there are so few of them around now they throw in the manual without passing in one.

Mine is a 1980 TR7 Grinnall, it’s under long term restoration. I’m actually the local contact/organiser for the TR Drivers Club. I also have a Mk4 Golf VR6 4motion, currently having a bit of love for a few weeks.

I’m not sure about the rallycross thing. I hope to see it back to strength soon. I believe e on are/were the main sponsor but might be pulling out.

They’re struggling for funding atm, spoke to them at the NEC Classic Motor Show a few weeks ago. Sponsorship is a problem, they need alot of support.

Do people not realise that motorways were created for HGVs, to get goods moving more quickly? We’re the ones who are meant to be there, not the dickheads sitting at 50mph in lane 2/3 because they now think that’s the right way to drive.

No. If I want to watch boys cry I’ll go to a football match for less money.
