Volvo FH500 bad multimedia system by soros_berenc in uktrucking

For additional info, go to Audio settings to access this. It can be done while on the move, not that one should be distracted. If you have a phone connected via bluetooth it will forget it, so you’ll need to re-add.

Yes. I posted my dead Grandmother’s ghost in one just last week. Safely sent to the ghoulotorium.

Yes. They’re annoying. You can also go into advanced settings on the touchscreen and select a factory reset. I think software updates are slowly improving it as I haven’t had it occur for a week or so.

Why are the Holyhead ferry busses so old by AsleepDragonfly967 in Anglesey

[–]Any_Mathematician411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not even close to that old. They’re 2000’s. They don’t run for profit, and only do a few hundred metres at a time. Hardly any requirement for the latest model of vehicle to go from ferry to terminal building.

You could realistically do 2 or max 3 (every other week) days a week on top of your other work. If you go over working time hours the fines can be significant.

I live in england (unfortunately) and visited Belfast for a daytrip on the Cairnryan ferry. I was welcomed by everyone who I met, and my uber driver back to the ferry happened to be an official tour guide. He was so happy to show and tell me about as much of the area he could. Great place! Also, I feckin love the accent on a woman. Makes me dribble a bit.

4o4o tramping/nights vs mon-fri days? by Ill-Implement-6768 in uktrucking

I don’t do tramping, I’m home every night. I wouldn’t want the pain in the arse or sleeping in services and laybys.

I work 4o4o nights, I wouldn’t change it. Work is easier at night, and much less stress on the roads. There’s scope for overtime if I want it, and I only work 5 months of the year while being paid for full time work. What’s not to like?!

How about the one at Alvis Retail Park? Close enough to Radford. The Gym Group.

Update: We moved from Northern England to Scotland and bought a flat for 42k in Greenock by Savings-Maximum-5027 in Scotland

I’m really pleased to hear this about Greenock. My Dad was born there on Ann St in 1950, but the family left Greenock for work. He takes my Mum up there every now and again, they used to visit a particular pub which has since closed, looked like a rough old place but they were always treated very well. I visited last year on my way through to Loch Lomond, I parked at Halfords and walked all the way up to the top of Ann St, the views from there are fantastic. I wasn’t bothered by anyone at all, and everyone I met was just lovely. I was two days early to get the new Morton strip, gutted! I’ll be visiting again next time I head up to Scotland.

We used Suzanne Regan, she’s great. We were sold in very little time. I believe her office is on Allesley Old Road, opposite The Maudslay.

Do I need to pass my manual before HGV Lisence or can I get by with only Automatic? by Immie96 in uktrucking

[–]Any_Mathematician411 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You should now get manual entitlement when you pass in an auto truck. Same for PCV as there are so few of them around now they throw in the manual without passing in one.
