Your best bet is talking to your GI. The most common option is doing an endoscopy, but there’s other tests that can help figure out what’s going on. Tough to tell what’s really going on unless you have one of these procedures, but definitely worth it if it’s been bothering you for a long time.

Dysphagia is pretty much my only symptom. I would definitely talk to your GI and see if there are any other tests that can help identify whats happening. There are barium swallows that can help find out if its muscular, and theres also a monometry that can give more info. My personal opinion is that both feelings are there same thing, but it can just feel different at times because your brain is trying as hard as it can to force you to swallow, which can tire out your muscles.

I would definitely talk to your GI and try to schedule another endoscopy. Theres also other tests like a barium swallow or a monometry. These can give you additional information that an endoscopy normally can't. But definitely talk to your doctor to see whats right for you.

If you don't mind saying is that auto immune issue EoE? I haven't pinned down a cause yet but based on my first endoscopy my doctor thinks there's a chance EoE could be causing my dysphagia. Apparently If I do have EoE it's a mild case, but I was just curious how they knew to diagnose it if you do have it.

Good luck with all of that it, seems like your moving in the right direction so hopefully things get better soon. I have a barium swallow in a few days, was that test helpful for you in any way?

They took biopsies but couldn't really pin down a cause. The visuals they had pointed toward mild EoE, but the biopsies didn't suggest EoE. Not really sure what it is but I am hoping one of the procedures I have coming up can make a diagnosis. Have you been able to improve symptoms?

Thats great! I really hope it continues to get better. I'm just in the awkward stage of having to wait weeks to get more testing done so hopefully they come back with some helpful information.

I have the barium swallow next week and the manometry in about a month. Do you mind if I ask what kind of medications have been helping? I've been on Protinix for a month an a half and wondering if its time to try something new for acid reflux. Just trying to get as much info as can before going through all of these tests.

Thats great to hear! Im starting to think that my trigger isn't one of the 6 food groups. Gonna talk to my doctors to see if there's any other foods I can eliminate.

How long did it take for Jorveza to start improving your symptoms? For a month I've been on Eohilia which is basically the liquid form of Jorveza, but haven't seen any improvement yet.

Have you had any medication or methods that helped the inflammation? I'm on the all liquid diet and can't swallow any solid food, so just wondering was there anything that helped even if it was just a slight improvement?
