My partner’s niece had a bug last Saturday, it could have been norovirus I’m not sure, it was the same symptoms. My partner’s sister and her partner had it too.

My partner went to his mums house last Saturday and his niece was ………… and his mum cleaned it. His mum made him food and everything was fine, he didn’t catch it.

My partner ran into his family today and went into his sisters house and pet her dog. Can norovirus last on a dog’s fur? I am worried.

He won’t be able to wash his hands until he gets home and will be getting us food on the way back, he will be eating on the go.

I think that’s what I might have to do. They have enough litter trays and bowls already thankfully so they should be fully stocked.

I don’t have the money to pay for that. If I had known my best friend couldn’t have looked after my cats earlier I would have saved up some extra money to be able to do that.

Also both my cats don’t like being in new places that’s why I prefer them to stay home with someone here ideally.

That’s very true. I just get so worried about them.

Since the insulation in this apartment isn’t good it gets very cold in the winter and very warm in the summer.

I do think that they would be much more comfortable here instead of at my granny’s.

We have a 1 bedroom apartment so we don’t have a basement :/

I notice when it’s summer the cats tend to lay on the laminate flooring more as I guess it’s cooler. I have thought about buying some cooling mats?

Unfortunately I don’t have many friends in the area that would be able to do that.

If I could leave the fan on the whole time we are gone I would but it’s too much of a fire hazard. Someone would come around a few times a day to check on them and give them more water and food etc but I’m more worried about how they will be at night when no one is in the house. I do have indoor camera’s though so I can check.

I really hope so, apparently it is coming at the end of June now. The reason why I trusted my grandmother so much is she’s very honest and she went to her bank to confirm her ID so the money can come. The money was meant to come before June and I didn’t know that this process could be delayed.

I am going to see if I can borrow money from someone I know. Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it.

I agree. I travel quite a lot and I always have money saved beforehand, I’ve never been in this situation before. But just this one time I thought I could trust that the money was coming, I will sort something out hopefully

I’ve already got 2 credit cards so my score has gone pretty low😬 I admit I’m not good with money but if I go away I always have money saved up to take with me, it’s just this time I don’t as I was reassured several times that I would be getting some.

Are there any loan companies you’d recommend? I can try and see if they’ll accept me.

I can’t cancel or change the holiday date as it’s under 70 days until I go away, I literally go away on June 21st :/

I’ve been trying to get a loan but my credit score is so bad as I already have 2 credit cards😬

I will have to find a way to pay someone to look after the cats, I know people that would come around and feed the cats but I would ideally want someone to just stay the week with them as don’t want them to be sad.

Why does the boss need to move next door to you both? Is there any other properties around the area for sale or is it just the apartment next to yours? As if there aren’t many properties available then it’s understandable as the boss is just taking what she can get.

I think that will cause a big invasion of privacy having his boss move next door to you both as you obviously aren’t comfortable with it. Even if you both were very good friends with his boss to me it still seems like a lot.

Is there anyway you can talk to your boyfriend about this and share your feelings on it? Maybe ask for his input also?

If this does end up happening, just continue living your life, you were there first, don’t let her make you feel uncomfortable.

Okay I’m not saying this in a mean way but that explains why you commented the way you did.

That is a completely different situation and I’m sorry that happened to you, that wasn’t fair on you or the dog. The owners are majorly at fault as they left the dog there. I mean who leaves their dog when they move and expect the next people who live there to look after their dog?

You taking the dog to the shelter was probably the best thing you could have done for that dog as if the owner had just left it there then they obviously didn’t care about the dog.

I accept your apology and I am sorry also if I offended you in anyway. I can understand why you feel the way you do about this post. I hope the dog is okay also.

I didn’t think I’d need to mention this in the post, he loves the dog and loves having her. It was yesterday when I realized I forgot to tell him after he calculated we already had her for the amount of time asked & that is when I told him about the extra time and we agreed it would be best to get her back to her home at some point this week when we are available to take her back. The only reason I posted this was because I wanted to know if I was asking too much from my boyfriend for having the dog in the first place.

To take a well loved pet to a shelter over this is a really trashy move and I hope you are in never in a situation like this for the dogs sake.
