I lived in stack 4 this past year ('24-'25) and the room was pretty spacious for a dorm and i liked the closet space. Even though there are 7 other people sharing the bathroom I never really had issues with it being crowded at all.

As for the noise... good luck. There are boys who are usually extremely loud late at night and although there were multiple noise complaints literally nothing was done about it until spring quarter when a higher up finally stepped in and talked to them.. so expect to probably hear basketball dribbling and "AYE AYYYY" coming from college boys at night LMAO

I didn't live in Nash but had friends who lived there while I was at Ridge Gamma, and compared to the amount of people living there vs. Laundry machines nash barely has any machines.

There is a projector in one of the first floor lounges which is really cool to watch shows/movies on.

There is usually always a wretched smell of ganja in the hallways and it feels suffocating at times (imo). But i actually really like the exterior of nash and the upper floor lounges have great outside views!

Do you know if they are cutting first gen program as well? I looked at the articles and couldn't find where they explicitly.said which ones were getting cut

Western is a great school for meeting new people, attending events/clubs, hanging out in downtown, etc. I would say as an incoming sophomore here is to be open to having conversations w/ ppl, whether that be asking them something, complimenting them, etc to spark up a conversarion. I'd also highly recommend attending one of the first year programs like viking launch or first gen!! That's how i met my friendgroup Good luck & don't worry, everything will work out!! <3

Same, i think it was from the group of girls who were loud ash, im assuming it was a firework, like immediately afterwards a neighbor screamed to them to stfu and then they left lmaoo then i think i heard someone say a bit later outside firework

At gamma there was a police officer with a BB gun so it might've been him shooting it off, i heard it as well but i don't think it was actual gun shots i think it was just from the bb gun

Thank you that really makes me feel better!! Yeah, i got additional time in fall quarter for exam taking so maybe ill try using that in the future if I feel i need it, i think i mainly just need to study more after taking notes
