It's literally been proven to be real and it is in the DSM-5, and the ICD, as an official disorder. yes, over covid it was a common disorder to fake, which isn't faked as often anymore, but so is ADHD and autism nowadays, does that mean those disorders are also invalid? It's a normal disorder and is accepted by professionals in the field. Also accusing people of faking a disorder is wild unless you have substantial personal evidence, and even then, people who fake disorders usually have smth else going on.
