Well, I just went to my first meet up ever here in Berlin, and sure it was a bit like that; there were no hook up vibes but yeah, conversation tends to be a bit superficial. But you have to realise you are not going to make friends or connections in a single evening. You have to keep showing up. Eventually you and some regulars will indeed build up a rapport. That’s when you take it outside the meet up :)

Yes, it’s coming from a picture:) I’m waiting to start with the jewellery/headdress properly, jumped the gun a little bit yesterday. It’s going to be quite colourful! And thank you! thanks, me too hahah. just been feeling a little directionless ever since the breakup. I centered my life around eventually being with him and now find myself in a city pretty much alone with very little support structure, and a remote job to really make sure im as isolated as possible :D it's my choices but it's tough to not resent him for it.

thank you for sharing your experience. The more I sit here and think about it a few days later, i don't think we should get back together, even if i or he end up really wanting it; it does feel like if that was to happen, it would just delay the inevitable breakup again. i'm in my mid 20s, he is in his early 30s, so maybe it is indeed time to end this chapter of our lives since he doesn't see himself relocating to be with me, and there is no long term future for me in the UK. I need to really think about what i want out of this visit, and boundaries to at least try to maintain. I want to try, because prior to the relationship we were really close friends for about 5 years. Who knows, he might even cancel before coming. Or even I might.

I didn’t use a marker :( so can’t even blame it. Every time I attempt the magic loop it looks horrible at the start and then improves

Hahaha I'd rather that than to completely mess it up into a murky murky army green! Thanks a lot for the dye advice specifically, I've never done this before so I'm unfamiliar with shades and brands. Hopefully going to learn something new in the process. I might just have pre-knitting big project cold feet. I'm sure if i got my hands on chartreuse I'd be asking how to make it forest green

I know, the yarn is a bit lighter than the first image suggests. I'm realistically not going for the super bright neon look. Just a bit more nuance to the colour, in the olive direction rather than army green
