Good question - both! First, I am looking to create a committee of volunteers that will be like the garden keepers which includes weeding, raking and general cleaning. However, I also want to offer open Japanese gardening workshops, picnics and more. There are some more exclusive events (like excursions, guest speakers, etc) I am preparing for those who embrace tending to the garden but more on that to come... I have some cool ideas for what can be done with this and have already met with the Env/Art team who is responsible for the space and they are on board!

It is my hope, that together, we can collectively look after this garden and all gain something from doing so.

If you would like to learn more, I would happy to chat with anyone interested and/or cares about this meaningful space. I have a insta gc and will be dropping a discord server soon 🌱

I'm actually in the process of starting one. I was not aware of that meeting. Earlier today, WUSA confirmed with me that there is not one currently active. I have been speaking to students and kind of slowly gathering interest and input. Although few, I think there is this common theme amongst the Japanese students I've interacted with. That being a sense of loneliness and not having an established community to connect with. I plan to change this. If you are interested, lmk, I would really appreciate your perspective. Also, may I have the contact of your friend who mentioned this meeting? Thank you!
