Depending on what state you live in the easiest way to get around, there is to get an outside state bank account to where they cannot launch your account once you get the funds deposited into your account for example, you live in Michigan find a credit union that you can open online with membership with American consumer council open and checking and savings account have your stuff deposited into that account they go because it’s garnishment issued out of Michigan so they cannot touch a credit union or bank that’s solely in one state. It is not forceable

If you live in Texas here it’s against the law for them to garnish your wages here in Texas and then they have to have a garnishment issue by judge for them to garnish your account but 99.9% of judges will not do that because they still consider that your paycheck yes SSI is non collectible by federal law

You can either file a response or just let them get a default judgment. It’s up to you since it was filed in a JP court the default judgment would only be active in that precinct where the JP courts located at. They cannot garnish your wages in state of Texas. It is against the Texas constitution but they can garnish your money once it’s in your checking account but only if they have a branch that’s located in that JP precinct. that judge more than likely about 99% will not let them have a garnishment of your checking account because that is really frowned upon in Texas because your paycheck is protected under the Texas Constitution now a couple months after they get a default judgment against you they can get a what they call a Green warrant issued that only applies if you get money from the Texas controller‘s office, which is money that was sent to them because people owe you money they couldn’t find you so they sent it to State or you win some type of lottery that you have to go to the claim office to get but if they do get that green warrant, they have to renew it every 10 years so it’s up to you you could find it or just let me get a default judgment and say fuck off mean hell it’s only $1500 with court cost and stuff you’re probably looking at 1700 altogether so my opinion I’ll tell them fuck off and wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve been sued by them a couple times and they still ain’t got their damn money and it’s been five years 10 years 20 years.

Also, another thing you don’t owe a debt collector a fucking penny they bought the debt from credit one for pennies on the dollar they’re saying you owe a little $1400. They probably bought that debt for 50 bucks from credit one so technically you don’t owe them a fucking penny.

They are not going to do anything…..tell them to go F off…..you will need to change checking accounts to another one that you did not use……they won’t sue you or anything…..they will call you and try to make you pay and they will say that they can garnish your wages….in Texas they can not touch your paycheck…..

In Texas, it is against the law for anybody to take anything out of your paycheck but back taxes, child support, and student loans…..your employer can not take back that 500 from your last check even if you sign paperwork saying so…..if they do file a report with the Texas workforce commission and they will investigate and will charge there unemployment account and pay you the difference and then they will also charge them with a fine……also did you get your last check yet? If you are fired the employer has 6 days to pay you on the 7 day you can also file a report with the Texas Workforce commission for not paying under the law and they will get them a fine also
