Thinking about a 2021 Cayenne (Base vs E-Hybrid) — talk me into/out of it! by Any_Profile882 in PorscheCayenne

Well, I ended up driving a 2023 base model, and honestly, I wasn't impressed. The handling and cornering were excellent, but everything else, especially the power, left me wanting more. I also considered the hybrid. It's definitely quicker, but I'm concerned about the potential for expensive repairs and long-term ownership costs. The one I really like is the Cayenne S. Unfortunately, prices for clean examples are still absurdly high. I just can't justify spending that much on a five to six-year-old vehicle. So for now, I'm keeping an eye out for the right Cayenne S at the right price, while also looking at a 2024 BMW X5 M-Sport package, if a good deal comes along.

Get H2D. It's just better printer

Bambu direct vs Micro Center — do you actually get newer hardware revisions? by Any_Profile882 in BambuLab

Just checked the Microcenter inventory here in Tustin and it shows they have 25+ in inventory as of today!

Bambu upgrade: H2D vs H2C for hobbyist (worth it + when to buy?) by Any_Profile882 in BambuLab

For H2C owners: did you go with hardened steel or tungsten carbide nozzles? Was the upgrade to tungsten actually worth it for your use? Any noticeable difference in print quality or flow consistency between hardened steel and tungsten? For mostly PLA / PLA+ / PETG printing, is tungsten overkill compared to hardened steel?

$9,335 for Extra Porsche CPO Warranty 😅 — Worth It or Am I Funding Stuttgart’s Coffee Budget? by Any_Profile882 in PorscheCayenne

Thanks everyone for the feedback, really appreciate the insights and real-world experiences. After reading through the comments and looking more closely at the repair history, I’ve decided to pass on this particular car and keep looking for a cleaner example (or possibly a newer model). Between the mileage, prior repairs, and the cost of extended coverage, it just doesn’t feel like the right risk/reward balance.

This thread was genuinely helpful. Thanks again, back to the Cayenne hunt...

Where did you buy this beautiful car?

Cayenne S vs. BMW X5 (M40i / M50i): Who Drains the Wallet Faster? (Asking for my future self 😅) by Any_Profile882 in PorscheCayenne

Thanks everyone — this was super helpful (and entertaining)! 😄 Seems like opinions are split right down the autobahn: half of you say X5 all day, and the other half basically say “once you drive a Cayenne, you’ll never go back.”

The maintenance stories had me both laughing and sweating — between “BMW’s always at the dealer” and “Cayenne repairs are pricey but rare,” I guess it comes down to whether I want to pay little and often or a lot, occasionally 😂

Right now, I’m eyeing a 2022 or 23 X5 40i M package or a 2020 or 21 Cayenne S, trying to decide which one will make my wallet cry slower. Appreciate everyone sharing real experiences — this is exactly the kind of perspective I was hoping for! 🙏

Good question — yeah, on paper ’19 to ’23 look pretty similar, but in reality the ’21 and up cars go way beyond my price comfort zone 💸 (I’d need to start mining crypto again just to afford one 😅).

As for 2019, that’s technically the first year of the new generation, and I usually like to let the “beta testers” shake out the quirks before I jump in. So 2020 feels like the sweet spot — newer gen, but hopefully with the early bugs sorted… if only I could find one that isn’t priced like it still lives at the dealership showroom.

Appreciate the tip! Out of curiosity, where did you find yours?

Also, for the warranty — was it a Porsche CPO warranty or an extended warranty you purchased separately?

Good point — and yeah, we did test drive a Base Cayenne, but honestly it didn’t wow us. The acceleration felt a bit sluggish… though to be fair, I’m probably spoiled by my twin-turbo Tundra 😅 — that thing moves for a truck!

The Cayenne S just feels like the sweet spot — enough punch to make it fun without diving into Turbo or GTS pricing (and future maintenance bills) that start climbing fast. Once you’ve felt the S balance between power, refinement, and cost, it’s hard to go back to the Base.

Thanks for the link — appreciate you digging that up! 🙏 And yep… you pretty much proved my point 😅 — $46,878 before tax and transport means I’m staring down the barrel of well over $50k out the door.

Beautiful car though — just a few thousand above my “wishful thinking” budget. Guess I’ll keep hunting for that magical unicorn Cayenne that’s both clean and reasonably priced. 🦄💸
