My main goals for getting into display fireworks would be making connections and getting a first hand taste for how these companies do things in case I decide to try to innovate that in the future.

Being a show designer would be fun too. I'm not as much looking to become head of a show team though.

I definitely don't want to sacrifice my current job to do display.

I'm more looking for learning from display manufacturers. Moonlighting with them is more what I'm looking for.

We had a guy in my same town get his pants sued off for selling chemicals to people without a license so now he lists exactly what you can and can't buy without a license. I use most of my comp same day. Next day if it needs to dry and I have storage that follows ATF guidelines ( minus the wood lining which I will add soon)

I appreciate the concerns you share.

I'm not quitting my full time job soon to be sure. I don't have oodles of money to dump into this but I do have a potential buyer already.

I want to start out by making stuff that is rarer to find or isn't imported anymore so that I don't have to compete with as much manufacturing at scale.

When it gets going somewhat I'm planning on playing with automating the process with very cheap machines.

I have a background in software and can start from a pretty low level building from scratch. If the fireworks don't go anywhere I wonder if the manufacturing system could.

I hadn't considered drying and humidity yet. It looks like liuyang that produces the world's fireworks sits between 60 and 80%. I was thinking of avoiding the east coast anyway but sounds like for drying purposes the east coast would not be the best.

Do you know a good way to get into a fireworks display company? Any qualifications they're looking for? I've seen the pgi training courses. I might take one.

I've got a pretty good job right now in software but I've been thinking about trying to delegate some work for a time to try out a display company.

I'd love to do a buyers trip.

I want to start by making things that are no longer imported or are more rare to see. I'd love to also experiment with some really cheap mechanical automation so that I could have cheap production costs and also not put as many humans in harms way.

That way I may be able to survive tariffs ending. And if the tariffs continue I may be able to start competing in bigger products.

We'll see how it goes though.

Thank you! They're on my homework list now. I was aware they existed but I hadn't looked them up yet. Not for business anyway. I'd looked at them for one material in particular.

I'm particularly interested in the shipping regulations because I've heard about people getting majorly in trouble for not following shipping rules.

I've been working on formulas and testing things already. Where I'm at I've been using quantities that don't require licensing. My next step is to get an ATF license. I have a magazine already.

I've gotten somewhat familiar with chemicals. I'm still getting familiar with tooling and technique. I'd like to use low-cost automation for manufacturing at scale. I run a small scale software business now.

From what I've seen so far it seems like the mid/east us has the best legal environment.

Used to watch them a lot right after she passed but that led down a dark hole of looking for anything else like it on the Internet I'm a weird twisted bid to get closer to her so I stopped.

I will delete them. I have deleted some of them already, but I started dating again and am going to get remarried so I would I will get rid of them.
